Will Wilf ever want to repeat his experience at Manure? Why would he want to sit out whole matches to allow other £50m players to play?
More importantly, how much would relegation cost Palace? When Wilf was out of the side Palace never won.
Now if Palace did get relegated with Wilf at the club, then he may consider a move.
Thank God Wilf is guaranteed international games, which will not always have happened with England. This lad is well guarded and proud to be with his home club.

Tbh, he's only leaving if he requests to leave and Parish thinks it would cause more harm than good keeping an unhappy Wilf.

I don't think he'd cause much drama, but if he really wanted to go I don't think we could stand in his way. In that case I would imagine we would ask for something around £70m.

If he wants to stay, which I think he does, then I can't see us entertaining any offers below £100m

Ian was desperate to go to a bigger club. We didn't want to sell him but couldn't force him to stay obviously. Just like Kenny Sansom, Peter Taylor, and others before and after him.

Simple questions. If he was sold,

1)Who would replace him
2)How much would that cost

I think you would find that to replace him with someone of the same quality would cost us almost as much as the sale proceeds.

In my opinion, he will only be sold if he forces a move. I cannot really see a scenario where we would want to sell him unless perhaps we were relegated.

We have bought in some good replacements like Armstrong and Johnson but also some duds although some may be down to poor decision making rather than an inability to attract talent
