I agree, but the real proof will be what happens with Roy and the transfer window that opens this week. If Parish is intending to be as 'hands on' as he been so far, he doesn't have time for his usual five holidays.

Only five? Cutting down?

Be fair one of last year's holidays was a working holiday as he went to Ibiza to extend Zaha's contract.

This June he will be flying out to Kavos to sign a new contract with Cabaye then on to Magaluf to do the same with Hennessy then on to Malia to sort out the next one.

It's a busy life being a football chairman

1) Pulis, he had the worst squad of players.
2) Pardew's first season. Again, not a great squad and the club were in an awful position.
3) Big Sam. Had less time than Roy to turn things around, but he did spend a fortune.
4) Hodgson. Had a great squad and lots of time to turn it round.

we have been fire fighting every season and managers sorting the team out after a poor start or dip in form hence 4 managers being in place.can only think of 3 managers we kept more than 3 seasons since 1975 Venables,Coppell and Dowie,Roy may do 2 maybe 3 seasons then if we are still in the prem at the end Roy has been the best of the rest

would have to say Pulis , as the squad he inherited was at best a top half championship side and to get the points he did , however dull , was incredible .

They all have had their merits , even Pardew for the cup final , but i have enjoyed watching this Hodgson team more than any other since i first started going in the early 80's . The way Hodgson carries himself and speaks for the club pits him way above all of the others combined .

Roy. Some of the best football I've seen at Palace in 30 years of attending games. Going to home games and actually expecting to get a result is such a refreshing change.

Let's face it, apart from this season, our home form since we've been in the Premiership has been shocking. Time and again we were getting turned over by teams in the lower half. Anyone remember Sunderland when BFS was in charge?

Pulis, Pardew and Allardyce all averaged almost exactly 1.2 points per game as Palace managers. Roy is just a fraction shy of 1.3. That's an outstanding achievement given the complete mess he inherited. The turnaround from 7 games, no goals, no points has been immense. Also take into account the injuries, points being lost under bizarre circumstances at times and late in games and it could have been even better.

Pulis averaged 1.46. Have you forgotten Holloway's start to the season?

Good question, surprised no mention of Pardew as there are arguments to say he’s done as well as the other three. All 4 have been tremendous.

For me Pulis edges it based on the squad he inherited.

I think there’s a good chance of a top 8 finish under Roy next season. Europa League should be the target if we can keep the squad with a couple of improvements

my mistake, you're quite right. That is pretty amazing actually, and probably the best achievement of the lot.
