It's a shame as I don't like to see someone like Benteke leave the club on a downer but if we can recoup a significant part of the £27m we spent on him then we should be able to get a decent replacement. He had a good game against Manure earlier in the week but didn't do much yesterday.

You can offer many reasons, some I might agree with - my problem is that the man simply does not work hard enough. I don't have any reasons to offer. I don't know what is going on in Benteke's head, or why he is not firing. I just have a hunch that Roy is capable of getting the best out of him.

Its rarely worked all season with Benteke as main man so we have to make changes, at least Sorloth as young player who needs time in Premier league to leanr outsmart defenders but when gets the ball, he wants to score.. what does Benteke want... his confidence is shot. Sadly I dont think we shall see Wickham as premier leauge player again. Mr Sick Note always had a leg problem before the bad one, he took the penalty at Chelsea and wow did he wince, he came off soon after. His goals at WBA, he winced when he shot hard then next game out injured. You patently don't know about Wickham, he has one knee injury before in 2011, when he missed only 3 games. He is currently recovering from an ACL injury, which everyone knows is a long term injury. Calling him Mr Sick Note is uncalled for.

No wonder that genius Pardew described the signing of Benteke as a: "No brainer." He even said at £50m securing the big Belgian's services would be a bargain. What a joker, couldn't wait to bomb out Glenn Murray for the likes of Yaya Sanogo, Connor Wickham, Adebayor and now eventually big Ben. Clueless.

Something that intrigues me is that Sorloth is completely expressionless. Most players give a clue to their emotions, eg when they miss a sitter. But our new man seems totally unengaged. Must be something to do with the Nordic temperament, but a bit of passion wouldn't come amiss. Assuming the happy day comes (the sooner the better), I wonder if/how he'll celebrate scoring a goal.

I think it's wrong to judge sorloth after 3 games, lets judge him at the end of the season when he's played his first full game with zaha. I can remember people criticizing jedinak after 10 games. It's my opinion that when sorloth has played as many games as benteke for us his stats will be better.

I think there is a growing acceptance that we will be in the Championship next season and to my mind Sorloth could prove very effective in that division. It is very hard for a young lad to make the step up from the Danish League to the PL in a struggling team but he could really blossom in the lower division which might serve him well if he goes on to play in the PL.

For our sake and for Benteke's own sake, he has to be dropped. Form and confidence are hard to get right sometimes, effort and application are not. He simply isn't grafting to make it happen. He needs a wake-up call and we don't have room for anyone who isn't 100% commmitted.
You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue |
