I mean they have had years of being "rubbish" but have quietly over the decades put together a massively strong infrastructure (cough fifa fair play cough and double cough got away with paying fines cough ) but there infrastructure is spot on .. and something we should (massively grudgingly aspire to)

If we go down by 2 pts I'll be livid - the club should sue the FA, Everton, Niasse or all x 3. That Mother dived (proven) and robbed us of 2 x valuable points. Thats not taking into account the Benteke Missed Pen, the Missed Pen against Man C, the Lee back pass/assist, the PVA back pass/assist the Speroni howler... Jeez, I started listing these from memory and didn't realise there were so many gifted points.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When Hodgson was at Fulham in 2007-08, at the same point as us at present (28 games) the team were 6 pts from safety. They actually got 12 pts from their last 5 games and stayed up, I think securing survival on the last day of the season.

Being very much a 'glass half full' person I've been immune to a lot of the negativity around at the minute but not today. For some bizarre reason I've woken with a feeling of dread and, for the first time I can recall, am not looking forward to going tonight. I get that we have a good run in (on paper) but for years we've lost those games & stayed up by virtue of the unexpected - Arse, Liverpool & Chelski last season. I genuinely believe we will stay up (just) but I've never been quite this nervous about it.
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

I really cannot understand how there are those who believe that we will survive. Just look at our next 4 games - At best we could pick up a point. Then to the next more "Winnable" games as presented.Watford Away - Watford have won 3 of their last 4 Home games and have only lost of their last 5 games under new manager Garcia. Edited by Willo (03 Mar 2018 6.45pm) No one says we are not in a bad place but some of us keep the faith. Can you not take a break from here as it really is starting to get annoying.

We could hardly have asked for a better run in for the last 6 games...and we've also got Huddersfield as the Chelsea/Liverpool sandwich filling. So we need to win 4 of those 7 (assuming we get nothing against Man Yoo, Chelski and the scousers). And we should have Wilf back too. I'm trying to stay positive cos it's still very much in our hands. Very, very worried though.

Includes Bournemouth Away who are unbeaten in their last 5 Home games, Watford Away who have won their last 3 Home games and have only lost 1 of their last 5 games. Also Stoke who have only suffered 1 defeat in the 6 games that Lambert has been in charge. After the Liverpool game we could be several points adrift so the pressure to win the remaining games will be intolerable. Edited by Willo (05 Mar 2018 2.02pm)
