It's all so ridiculous.

We don't come from monkeys anyway. We share a common ape like ancestor and branched off between six to thirteen million years ago.

Modern monkeys developed down one branch of that and modern apes another...we are a type of great ape, we never developed from monkeys, we developed from apes.

So connecting skin colour to monkeys isn't only stupid but it's not very accurate.....and to the extent that it has any relevance at all.....we are all great apes regardless of skin colour.

The people taking offence are nearly as annoying as those giving it because by making these connections they are keeping this nonsense alive.

Everyone needs to grow up.

Tbh I can understand the why people upset about this but 1 point.
There are several species of monkey that are white in colour ( the Velvet being an example)
So wouldn't it be racist for a white child to wear that top too then?
Or as it should be, your child is just a cheeky monkey. Mine are, and they are both of mixed race btw.

This is a great point, but it will miss the mark with lefties on HOL who only see you by your race rather as an individual.
