He isn't. Established fact.

We all saw that Niasse's tumble was somewhat theatrical but we couldn't all see if there was any contact.Clearly Taylor thought there was sufficient contact to warrant the penalty but of course on 'Slo-Mo' replays others have formed a different opinion.

Watching on a live stream where the camera angle was exactly the same as the referee's to the incident (except he was a t ground level and much closer in) and even then you could clearly see that he went over like he had been shot from nothing more than a brush of shoulders. Slo-Mo not necessary.

Plenty of evidence Willo, watch every game and see how many fouls are given for Zaha.....compared to the fouls for most other players....how many penalties did Bobby madly give zaha...none how many fouls on him did madley give about half.....The clown yesterday was bent, we know it, you know it ,he knows it, just you wont admit the possibilty of one of your hero refs being corrupt or useless or both....you'll just be happy to see us relegated with a lot of help from so called referees. There is so much money in football and betting on football nowadays that the possibility of corruption is growing day by day...you will see in the future just how wrong you are to defend to the death your great referee heros

I do actually believe in the next 5 years something will come out about corruption. All the money in the prem and we're to believe that no dodgy s*** is going on, financially or performance enhancing wise?
The chances of the biggest money making game in the World being "clean" are just too far fetched and the mileage covered by players now is mind boggling.
Spot fixing is the big worry. Who's to say more than one pen in the first half would have cost bookies a fortune. Number of cards in each half. Some decisions defy logic and maybe there is a logical reason. Hope I'm wrong, but the World of sport is corrupt. Why should football be exempt?

Maybe you could explain the punishment he may or may not receive at the assessment and how exactly any punishment will help us (the team that he cheated). There is no assessment or punishment for crap refs is there otherwise most refs would be demoted each week and we cant have that can we. Thats the reason the FA refuse to sanction video technology because it would highlight just how totally appalling the referees are!

I'm NOT going to respond to ANY posts which accuse referees of cheating. It really is reprehensible and repugnant to cast such aspersions.Thank you.

What do you want ? Retrospective issuing of yellow/red cards, goals chalked off ? Ridiculous.

There is a support mechanism for the Elite group of referees including post-match analysis, group discussions of incidents with fellow referees etc etc etc to try and assist referees and further improve their standards.

This is quite an interesting read

and the key point is this:

"We must blame the managers and supporters and the TV pundits who tolerate it – and who openly praise it, like former England striker Michael Owen during commentary the other week at a Champions League match. "

Willo - that means you.

No that isnt what I want Willo, stop trying to put words in my mouth. All I want is fair unbiased honest refereeing and that IS NOT WHAT WE HAD YESTERDAY.... you still havent answered what happens to refs found guilty of incompetence??

You clearly can't have a system in which the results are amended after the match because surely nobody wants results of matches hanging in the balance waiting for some panel to pronounce on them. Chaos. Docking points wouldn't be a bad idea though.

Given the technology available today and already in use in other sports, it isn't too much to ask that the FA do everything possible to make sure the decisions are right.

They don't because it isn't in their interests.

Can't review everything. I would like them to trail coach challenges.
Whether there's contact is not the question, it's was there enough to bring a player down? A coach challenge yesterday would have been successful yesterday I think?

It wasn't that many years ago that we had all the floodlight failures that were being rigged by a Malaysian betting ring to facilitate the results they wanted.

That was pretty basic and the world and technology has moved on a lot since then (1990's I believe it was), but just because it may all have got more sophisticated and harder to spot/prove doesn't mean that it isn't happening.

I'm not going down the 'Incompetence' route.
Referees have been demoted for not maintaining the standards set, just ask Stuart Attwell.
