Rubbish. Wayne is a competent Premier League and international goalkeeper who like almost all keepers makes the occasional mistake. Some "fans" have irrationally decided to turn him into the scapegoat for every goal we concede.

Just to add my two pence worth.

To me its more than his goalkeeping/shot stopping.
Its about how he conducts himself both on and off the pitch.

Met him several years ago when my kids were young and he couldn't have been more friendly or available with his time.
Seeing him yesterday throwing his jumper into the crowd as well - he has a special bond with the club and fans and that itself gives the place a lift.

What I would also add - seeing the highlights on TV this morning I noticed the amount of shouting and direction he gives to his defenders. I think this often goes unnoticed when at the match but he does not stop organising his defence. I'm sure defenders must feel more confidence with Speroni behind them.

It's clearly not because that's exactly what happened. You lot are even trying to change history now. Unbelievable.

As for What he does for Wales, it bares no significance to what he does for us. Have a look at Claudio Taffarel as a s*** keeper who actually won the World Cup. In a great team you can get away with having a poor keeper sometimes. We're not a rest team so we need a s*** hot goalie who leads from the back. Something that Wayne doesn't do.

The other two were against the Ipswich and Huddersfield reserves! The difference yesterday from the other 7 games was that we scored.

Not sure why Wayne wasn't playing today? But would be suprised if Jules doesn't now get a couple games to try to make the shirt his own.
