Rubbish. Wayne is a competent Premier League and international goalkeeper who like almost all keepers makes the occasional mistake. Some "fans" have irrationally decided to turn him into the scapegoat for every goal we concede. Very sadly more than just the occasional mistake.

What I would also add - seeing the highlights on TV this morning I noticed the amount of shouting and direction he gives to his defenders. I think this often goes unnoticed when at the match but he does not stop organising his defence. I'm sure defenders must feel more confidence with Speroni behind them. It was a towel. He’ll be in trouble if he needs a lift from a passing Vogon space fleet Edited by Mapletree (15 Oct 2017 10.30pm)

We're not a rest team so we need a s*** hot goalie who leads from the back. Something that Wayne doesn't do. Edited by Brentmiester_General (15 Oct 2017 12.19pm) We don't have a "great team" though. We have an average team, with an average first choice 'keeper. Maybe two or three quality players. It's a team game. No one player will make it bad. It's a collective. Replacing WH is not the solution. Nor is JS. The team needs to improve if we are to move forwards. There is no goalie currently playing who would have improved our 'goals for'. Try to rationalise your hatred please.

We get it, you don't like Wayne Hennessey, now give it a rest.

There's no point trying to reason with him. He's got a real desire to down everything that a club legend does. Which in itself is very strange behaviour by a Palace fan.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

I think Hennessey would have saved the Chelsea goal due to his long reach.
