The thread title is a clue. I think more should be made of it to show that actually, Muslims are as much again.st terrorism as you or I. It's not much of a clue. It says "March Against Terrorism" and then there's a link to a newspaper article. If you gave a child a piece of homework and asked them for their opinion do you think you would give him (or 'her', sister) an 'A' for effort if they posted what you just did? What do you THINK about the march Nick? What is your OPINION? How did you form it? What influences from the article were particularly significant? (20 marks) Otherwise you might as well as post a link to a BBC recipe for Shepherd's Pie on a thread titled "BBC Recipe" and expect us to somehow gather what on earth you're on about.
You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name. |

Ah, so there were also plenty of songs about Theresa May cutting police numbers and letting this all happen then? A valid pont and I agree. Add her to the song list next time.

Pretty spot on and simple to grasp, if you want to. I just don't think these folk want to try and see it from a higher perspective as it doesn't suit their agenda. 'Their agenda' seems to be safety on the streets, tourist attractions, knowing they or other British wives and children aren't going to die on a weekend day out because of some perverse, anachronistic ideology and terrorism that actually when surveyed, some non terrorist U.K. Muslims agree with. If you listen to the 2 grey ladies on the march you'd expect to see at a peace demonstration you'll see how it's not about some white right wing agenda and about how a lot of people view what's being allowed to develop in society but if it's not in their suburb yet there's no reason to object to how things are developing.

I'm sure this "movement" will fizzle out like all the other so called non racists, like the EDL and BNP,just a bunch of right wing bully boys hoping to get a bit of publicity for themselves, we've had it all before at football with the NF giving out leaflets in the 70'and 80's it's all a bit pathetic and boring. Just because someone is a religious extremist doesn't make them a terrorist does it, just someone who is a bit sad ( in my opinion), like the people on the march who have extremist views, who believe if they shout loudest they must be right. Let's not forget that the Tory government were funding the Taliban in the 80's when they were fighting the Russians, but now we call them terrorists. It just depends on the mood of the government of the time, we've supported Iran v Iraq in war and vice versa, we also supported Gaddafi when it suited and didn't Thatcher say Mandela was a terrorist , but welcomed mass murderer and torturer Pinochet over Don't try and excuse murder of uk citizens in the U.K because the British government supported the Taliban vs Russia because of politics and geographical strategy in the Middle East. Try telling the families of murdered westerners on our streets what you've just said. This culture, whether extremist or moderate, deserves no more special allowances or treatment than any previous communities into the uk. They may think they do, but they don't. Their religion is due reform. Probably centuries ago.

Where in the north is the next march? The choice is v important. This one was central London and I wouldn't have expected it to be in Tower Hamlets or past Wembley mosque or similar. Marching through Lancashire areas or Bradford with a large Muslim population may not be wise considering the reaction from several different opponents.
