Because he can say what he likes when he likes and because no matter how heinous or disgusting it may be it might also p1ss off people whom they both don't like so he gets a 'thumbs up' from those in the moral gutter.

There's an element of that. Milo is witty and intelligent and pokes at the hypocrisies and intolerance of ideologies that promote themselves as being 'better'.

There are several areas where I disagree with Milo. That's not the point.....It's a battle against those who regard words as violence. It's about resisting those who want to limit the expression of ideas.

Just like you have ridiculously implied here, that there is some kind of morality gauge over Milo. You think your opinions are better on some moral level than his. These are worldviews and opinions.

What opinions does Milo hold that you object to on a moral level?

It's just like your simplistic assertion earlier in the year that people on the left are more intelligent than on the right....down to them choosing left wing politics. The whole of the reasoning was embarrassingly simplistic and shot full of holes.

Do focus Stirling. It wasn't that far back that you shouldn't be able to remember that it wasn't my assertion; it was theirs ----> [Link]

Yeah it was amusing to see you backing pieces in the Daily Mail....oh and it was you who choose to push that nonsense on here.

So instead of telling me to focus you instead need to regain some honesty.....Or are you suddenly going to produce some long lost uncle who gained 40 IQ points once he turned from blue to red.

Oh and as usual Kermy, you didn't answer the question regarding Milo.

Not answering questions seems like a progressive addiction.

Sheesh - The study is not from the Daily Mail but a Canadian Psychological Institution. They merely reported it. Are you trying to prove them correct or what?

Milo? I will get back to you on him later.

Did you actually read what I wrote or just assume.

The situation is a bit difficult for me. I support free speech of pretty much anything that doesn't involve encouraging violence, is provable libel (which in most cases happens after the fact) and obscenity (which in reality are extreme examples)

So as Sinn Fein basically were the party that represented a group actively murdering innocents I never had a problem with what happened.

However, they were also a group that held democratic seats. So this gave them a representative mandate....then again this mandate wasn't for the mainland.

Difficult.....However, if they had publicly rejected the use of violence as a means to achieving their political aims I would have accepted what I personally find hard to accept. I'm not sure they ever did that until very late on.

If they had...even though I'm aware of the sophistry......the dictates of democracy permits them a voice......You civilise by being civilised without turning your back.......or as Kissinger said, walk softy but carry a big stick.

Problem is what is advocating or supporting violence. I see plenty of problems with the Christian Right and right wing US media rhetoric against gays and transgendered people - and a disproportionate level of assault and violence against those people.

When White Supremists and Neo-Nazis speak freely, they're politics include the rhetoric that promotes violence among their members against minorities within society. It might not be by the groups that the speakers belong to, but they know full well that the rhetoric and the violence aren't unrelated.

How is that really any different that Sein Fein refusing to condemn violence by the Provisional IRA, or the DUP with Loyalist groups. The end result is to encourage politicalised violence.

Or is it just that Sein Fein and the DUP were more honest:

Whilst words aren't violence, it would be churlish to assume that statements and political rhetoric exist in an environment where they don't have influence or consequences: if they did, no one would be bothered. Do you really think that there isn't a connection between religious groups, for example, banging on about how god hates 'fags' and homophobic violence against gay people in society.

Interesting thoughts, I thought he had supporters because he liked 13 year old boys.
