I don't want to be rude or anything,but why don't you do one,we had plane's in the air just after.
I really don't see the point of putting them before and in harms way....what happens if they get injured or worse,and the equipment they bring gets damaged....havent really thought that through have you.

Believe the French troops were normally stationed on the island anyway as the islands are treated as being more a part of France than the British islands which have far more independence and as such do not have British troops stationed there. Having said all that I tend to agree that HMG could have been better prepared and despatched the first aid earlier.

Having said all that I tend to agree that HMG could have been better prepared and despatched the first aid earlier.
