He is a good chairman who has always done the best he can. But he needs to admit that there are major weaknesses in the club's infrastructure, particularly regarding recruitment. Putting aside the failure to sign another striker, it's very strange that the attempt to transition to a new style of play has been attempted when we don't have the money for a major overhaul. Doesn't smack of good long-term planning to me.

Spot on. Really needs someone more experienced than freedman. Been great up to the point he extended Pardew's contract and then didn't sack him in any one of those weeks up until he did.

Let's hope a decent free agent is available and wants to come. If not, and Benteke gets injured, we're screwed, regardless of Wickham back in bl33din January.

That true re Niasse? I haven't bothered reading about it as didn't even realise we were that close to signing him.

Or hope that Benteke doesn't get injured.... and actually scores some goals.

Holloway left because he realised that the job was beyond him and good on him for being honest enough to recognise it.

But you want to blame Parish for that. At least get it right before you post rubbish.

There are a few things That the board have got wrong but Pulis and Holloway aren't on that list..

Also, no player will guarantee you points, if we had signed Sakho before now, how would he have got us points when he couldn't have even played due to his long term injury.

Please explain...

Where do people keep getting he has a long term injury. Do you think we would have paid that sort of money for someone with a long term injury. He got injured towards the end of ladt season, which was according to reports not as bad as first feared. I have seen nothing to suggest he is still injured. He has been training with thd kids at Liverpool, so obviously won't be match fit. But show me anything that says he is still injured. ..

In an interview on SSN he said something about still seeing a doctor and not knowing when he'd be back.

probably true, as we like buying players with sick notes!

Apparently didn't get the agent's docs done so we c0cked it up.

That's why we 'couldn't' get deals done.

Edit: Reports the agent fee wasn't agreed.

But this is what happens when you leave most of your buying business till the last 12 hours. Happened last season. Focused everything on Benteke, had sold Jedi, didn't scout Rincon to have confidence to up our offer by £1 or £2 mil and went into the season with 1 left back.

Steve needs help running everything football related and freedman isn't experienced enough at this level. Good scout maybe but we need a real Sporting director, not one learning on the job without any European contacts, especially if Frank goes. Another mistake.

Firstly it wasn't "our money" as we don't own the club and secondly not only did Pulis save the club from almost certain relegation but his efforts resulted in the gang of four's investment being multiplied several times over so yes they could have let sleeping dogs lie instead of insisting on their pound of flesh.

Seriously Holloway was out of his depth and it was obvious Pullis only wanted the bonus money he knew his stock was high as a manager and wanted to cash in. Parish getting the bonus back from Pullis was great to see and should be applauded
Also Sakho is still not fully recovered from his injury so he wouldnt have played in the first 3 games anyway !

Well done on getting Sakho you saved us a hole 4 Million when we could have had him from the start of the season and may be had some points on the board.

God saves all but Mateta nets the rebounds !

It appears that Parish is regarded by most on here as useless at running the club and they want him to go.
Who should takeover the running of the club, nobody seems to have that suggestion. Parish may of made some errors and a bit of bad luck, but be careful what you wish for.
It's all well and good criticising, but offer an alternative.
