And if Benteke and Hennessey are injured? Who's going up front and on the bench as substitute keeper?

Yes it was a very disappointing end to the 'Window'.

Benteke can stroll about as much as he likes knowing his place is not under threat at all and if he gets injured who the hell is there up front that can make a positive impact ????

And supporters are general are delighted we have got Sakho but we have to remember that he has been out injured and has not played a competitive game since April.

Yes if Hennessey gets injured we will have to rely on 37 year old Speroni who is in the 'Twilight' of his career.

Worry ye NOT - we still have our "Captain Marvellous', Mr Puncheon who can influence the game from midfield !!!!

Yes I am disappointed and greatly concerned.

FdB HAS been backed in a modest way. Riedewald is clearly his choice plus the two very good loan signings in Loftus Cheek and Fosu Mensah. This is a substabtially stronger squad than that available to BFS and a competent PL level manager should be able to pull clear of relegation into mid table with it. Its also very vulnerable to injuries re striker and gk and we have to hope we are lucky in those areas til the January window.

Not sure I agree with you there. A few injuries and we are up s*** creek.

Some might conclude we are in that position even without a few injuries.

Squad seriously lacking in depth especially up front. We only really have Benteke, compare this to Burnley who have Vokes,Wood,Walters,Barnes and Wells and Huddersfield who have Mounie,Lepoitre,Kachunga,Quaner.Watford have Deeney,Gray,Okaka,Richalison,Success.

Don’t worry. Dann and Sakho are already watching old videos of Chris Coleman playing at centre forward to pick up a few tips.

All very well to talk about the strength of the squad and experimental strikers but the fact still remains we need to score goals to win matches.

Three Premier League games and no goals it's beyond me how the Board could let this window slip away without recruiting adequate/necessary cover for Benteke.

It's so blindingly obvious, isn't it?

I know whats done is done but we need an explanation from someone - come on Mr Parish please explain yourself.

No we're not. We have a good team with a back 4 and a bit of cover. We had that with Sakho last season. We now have cheek, Mensah and Riedewald who the jury is out on.

In all seriousness, Schlupp has played up front before I believe?

With Souare approaching a return he could be used in a more advanced role?

Personally, I'm pleased we didnt sign Niasse.

During recent previous transfer windows we've done a good job of continuing to add real quality to the squad.

Niasse isn't a player of that calibre in my opinion.

Might as well chuck Salako between the sticks, wouldn't be the first time and can't be any worse than wobbly Wayne...

Yes I have seen him play as a striker albeit around 3 years ago.He was erratic and lacked composure in front of goal.
