What a bizarre reply. It was clearly just a piss take out of her appalling interview about police cost. You must get offended ridiculously easy in life. What has Dianne Abbott - who gets abused unfairly - got to do with a thread on Palace transfers? I just find that kind of easy insult offensive.

Can we keep this one on track please. It annoys the hell out of me when I log on to look at transfer news only to find that it has been taken over by a stream of irrelevant posts. This forum isn't for transfer news. It's for transfer chat.

I think you're getting it mixed up. The cost was due to the inflated market, not the other way around. If Kyle flipping Walker is worth over 50mil then Neymars fee is actually a reflection of the madness going on around him. PSG payed his release fee clause, I can't imagine the market will have any effect on our targets that it didn't already have prior to the market opening. I suspect a large part of Neymar's fee is the buyer showing off to the other rich Arab leaders.

He basically said the he think we'll see a lot more players seeing out their contracts as clubs will be unwilling to pay large sums for average players. It's an intriguing prospect and could potentially bring prices back down? On another note, the high prices may lure clubs in to spending more on youth development as it is better investment in the long term. I mean, if Monaco sel Mbappe they've paid off youth costs for the next 20 years!

Abused unfairly, I assume you are being sarcastic. She is a disgrace, not just being unfit to carry out her taxpayer funded job but her overt racism which she then denies. Good job by Andrew Neil more power to him I don't expect you to agree with my comments btw COYP
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Boris Johnson had a horrific interview where he could barely remember policy let alone figures and he got off relatively Scott free. Agree with the rest of your post and I hope that something brings prices down rather than there being a big crash. Out of interest, what could cause a major crash in football economy?

Agree with the rest of your post and I hope that something brings prices down rather than there being a big crash. Out of interest, what could cause a major crash in football economy? I think the rise of streaming services (football being streamed on Facebook, youtube etc) is going to harm the likes of Sky Sports etc, which will in turn bring the TV rights deals down. The deal for the 2 seasons after next is to be negotiated by christmas (i believe?) so we could have an idea by then. What could also be a factor is astute managers like what we have in FdB fishing out young cheap talent, it might turn other teams to do the same which would bring stars prices down (maybe). I think theres a lot more to the Neymar deal than just football, and I'm certain that theres political involvement from Qatar, whether it be them showing the world that they are still rich, or getting one over on Barcelona for dropping Qatar Airways as their sponsor I dont know, but its certainly not just about football, so I dont think its going to have a major effect on the rest of the footballing world outside of Barcelona & PSG.
