Just banned transgender individuals from serving in any capacity in the US military. He really is a modern hero for our times.

I could be wrong, I suppose time hopefully will eventually reveal all....or wikileaks

Personally I think Trump was willing to accept help yeah...he even encouraged the Russians during the campaign in a speech. Do I think a serious crime happened no...I think that's hyperbolic. Both teams were dirty but either of them are puppets....influenced perhsps..People say stuff about middle eastern funding of the Clinton Foundation...it's iffy but while it buys influence I don't see puppetry.

However, I have no problems with investigation as long as its fair. My attitude towards those after Trump is the same as it was towards those who went after Bill Clinton. I doubt their motives but I am there to be convinced.

Like I say, removing Trump without an election would cause far worse problems. People need to be responsible. If you win the mid terms you stop his policies anyway.....Focus upon the groups who didn't vote for you because I have a feeling that the American economy is going to do quite well.

Here's the thing: accepting - or even seeking - help from the Russians is a crime. You can't say that you believe it happened but that it's not a crime because that's simply wrong. 2 + 3 does not equal 4 just because you think it's easier that way.

For months, Trump and his campaign - including those personally involved - all denied any meetings with the Russians. That whole time, the Russians knew that they were lying. That's called being compromised and that's one of the reasons why it's illegal to accept contributions or "things of value" - like opposition dirt - from foreigners.

The protagonists here continue to deny anything other than what has been discovered independently. When new discoveries are made, they adjust their denials to embrace the additional revelations. They went from "it never happened" to "it was about adoption" to "it was nothing" to "so what?" That means that there's still potential for any number of Trump associates - and perhaps Trump himself - to be compromised by the Russians.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration's oddly Russia-friendly stance does nothing to assuage the fear that he's got interests at heart other than those of the U.S. This, while Congress easily passed sweeping sanctions against Russia for its illegal interference in the 2016 election, because they've seen the intelligence and they are convinced - Democrats and Republicans alike - that it happened and that it merits a severe response.

This isn't about getting Trump out of office. The next in line is Mike Pence who has his own credibility issues when it comes to Russia and, after him, its Paul Ryan. It's about exonerating Trump so that he can move on with his Presidency, or separating a potentially dangerous Manchurian candidate from the levers of power.

If you are transgender but don't expect any different treatment then I don't see any issue personally.

The argument against it is that the military would be forced to divert funding for health care from other service personnel to pay for expensive gender reassignment surgery for transgender personnel.

Meanwhile, the Air Force is spending $1.2 trillion on the F-35. [Link]

Why is accepting 'help' from Russia a crime?

Is accepting 'help' from the house of Saud a crime?

Surely it depends upon what that 'help' is.

Like I say, I don't think this is going anyway in terms of proving anything actually happened...it's all interpretation.

While I agree with you general view about Russia there is definitely an argument for Trump's approach to Russia as being more productive. I have mixed feelings about it whilst agreeing with yours and the democratic..and to be fair majority republican view on it.

The military shouldn't be made to pay for things like that. So the legislators need to ensure that can't happen....But in terms of being in the forces it's not an issue for me.

But they do pay for rehabilition for heroin addiction and their university education (among other thing). I'm happy for anyone who's served in the military to be entitled to have a free sex change op if they want.

Its a crime if you seek, conspire to seek, request or get others to seek assistance from a foreign power to obtain political leverage in your country to political office. Accepting, knowingly, is a crime.

And if you do favours in return, its life without parole serious.

So if you get 'dirt' from another country on your opponent then you are committing a crime by accepting that?

Seems like nonsense to me.

Favours in return...I see the sense of that.

How are people going to put a positive spin on the fact Trump has pretty much just kicked out thousands of Transgender service men and women from the armed forces.

I'm not.

If you are a heroin addict you should be discharged. The forces don't exist to hold your hand.

Weak people in the forces should be weeded out. I don't care about your sexuality but people who can't control their stuff shouldn't be there.
