I'm not sure if the rumours for him are just rumours or not. But if we are is JR back up to him or there both first choice which would mean Dann and Tomkins make way. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

For what its worth, Palace favorites to sign Chambers. My sense is that this deal still has a long way to go before completion. If Arsenal really did start with an asking price of £25m, that's only £5m below Sakho

They'll have a difficult time refusing. So even if Chambers is £20, surely we go and make a deal happen with Liverpool. Unless we're trying to sign two CB.

Although Sakho is a bit more expensive, we get 2 players in one. Brilliant defender and at the same time. lift the rest of defence with his presence. A bit like Kante for Leicester when they won, felt like 2 players in one shirt. 27-30 mill. for Sakho is a no-brainer compared to 20-25 for Chambers. Sell-on value? We need players (to stay up) for this season first and foremost. With the way prices are going we'll get our money back for Sakho. Just annoying that Palace always seems to sell on the cheap - MacArthur for 2 mill. and "hope to recoup most of the 10 mill. paid for Cabaye"...

Daily star say 20m I'd like Sakho but that would be the perceived budget spent.

Been said that one of the stimbling blocks is that Arsenal want a buy back clause which is probably at the fee of their choice. In effect it would almost be like a loan
