The Vauxhall Tavern no doubt

There was. 800 protestors vs 2000 police. By the evening there were around 300 protestors left. The police handed out one hell of beat down by all accounts, arrests were made, people went to jail.

Interestingly I read that the Tory vote will go down 2% a year because their older voters are leaving this mortal coil.

Agreed but little to stop us regressing to that again. Seems like that prospect excites some people with short memories

Calling a protest a 'day of rage' is so close to incitement that it isn't only wrong it's unethical....the idiots who feed off these protests hardly need more encouragement to damage businesses and property.

Whoever called it that is an idiot and I hope there are consequences for them.

Maybe if McDonnell was Welsh & the son of an owner of a van hire company he would get his collar felt by the Old Bill?

Well I guess they've got good weather, booked transport and planned their day out. Rally's can be a good fun day. Get out, meet like minded people, have a few drinks etc.

Why do you omit the violence from the protesters. They started it not the Police. The Police protected businesses and homes.....So what that they significantly outnumbered them. Are you expecting them to engage in some sort of fair fight?

From Wikipedia on the first 'Day of Rage' protest.

'Finally, at 10:25 p.m., Jones gave the pre-arranged signal over a bullhorn, and the Weatherman action began. John Jacobs, Jeff Jones, David Gilbert and others led a charge south through the city toward the Drake Hotel and the exceptionally affluent Gold Coast neighborhood, smashing windows in automobiles and buildings as they went. The protesters attacked "ordinary cars, a barber shop... and the windows of lower-middle-class homes" as well as police cars and luxury businesses.[11] The mass of the crowd ran about four blocks before encountering police barricades. The protesters charged the police, breaking into small groups, and more than 1,000 police counter-attacked.'

Well take a joke as it is meant to be. I have seen you call people names for believing something different to you on the GE2017 thread. Do not give it out if you cannot take a joke, and say you are being targeted.
