Over lunch I had a quick look at newly promoted teams' run in.

Huddersfield: Chelsea (Away), Everton (Home), City (Away), Arsenal (Home)

Seaweed: Spurs (Home), Burnley (Away), Manure (Away) Liverpool (Home)

You'd think both need to be safe before those run ins or they will find it tough.

Thankfully ours looks a little less challenging than last season (not that we did too badly against the top sides).

That's beautiful. We can effectively relegate Brighton in the game just before that 4 game run in, at Selhurst, all of us singing and laughing at them and those at home with their other team shirt on, in front of the tv or laptop.

We should have their last 5 around the urinals so we can all laugh at what we heavy to look forward to.

We should have their last 5 fixtures listed around all the urinals so we know what we have to look forward to. Probably our mathematic safety and their relegation.

If they read that previous post they'd be getting a bit too randy. Probably think we're playing hard to get with the rivalry and turn up at the lower holmesdale in Chaps or boas.

I stand by my ring hole terminology.

What a pleasant character you are. Why don't you toddle back to supporting Huddersfield if you feel the need to defend them.

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!

So the fixture pixies are hoping to get Huddersfield off to a good start by sending them to face the side with the worst home record. About the easiest fixture they could get, apart from home to Burnley.

Worst possible scenario, one of the new boys in first game home. Everybody expects 3 (easy) points - would rather play our opening game in Manchester with no expectations at all...

Agreed. I think Wagner will have them ready. shame they won the playoffs as I'd have fancied him as our manager...

Consider what were were like at home (mostly) after Sam had sorted us out and they mightn't be so complacent. Last time Arsenal came to Selhurst they got stuffed 3 - 0.

Stop that! Too much Mourinho talk, and frankly BFS was guilty as well We got over a 100 million from TV last season, by far the biggest part of turnover. If rest between games is a true issue make sure the squad is big enough to handle it. STOP WHINING please!

from man City to Southampton games. only 48 hours rest for our boys. bloody unfair.

I may not be a Huddersfield fan, but I do have a lot of respect for them. Their chairman started selling season tickets for 17/18 just before the play offs at £199. He is now selling the remaining unsold for £299, knowing they are now Premier League.

That's a club that puts fans first.

realistically, a decent manager, good squad, could well be on 25/30 points at xmas.

Agreed. Won't be on a slippery slide, fresh to the league and pumped up. Very hard opening game, particularly as we regularly are slow starters. COYP !!

Those of you crowing about the future relegation of the Weed need to Google the word "schadenfreude". Charlton celebrated our demise, and now they're in mid-table obscurity in League One.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.
