For Silva records in other countries maybe impressive, But the Premiership is a completely different ball game. ( no pun intended ). As for Ranieri and Mancini ok top level experience " been there done it " types as you mentioned but I believe employing the likes of one of these two would be more reassuring than a manager with little or no experience of premiership football Spot on buddy

In 2016 little people of heard of him. I'm not denying he done well with hull. More concerned can he take that record over 38 games. Take Pardew for instance done well in patches rather than any consteincy.

Silva is exactly the kind of manager we must go for. Young, bags of potential and hopefully a manager that can grow with the club. Yes, I would say he is unproven at this level at the moment, but for me has shown enough since he arrived at Hull to suggest that he could become a top manager. We must do something different other than go for these managers that might be great in keeping a club up, but they are dinosaurs with old ideas with very limited knowledge and capability on how to progress a club in a game that is very different to when they were managing in there prime. Sam done a great job and I'm grateful, but I'm not gutted he has gone. A manager with new, fresh and exciting ideas could be just the fit if we want to progress as a club.

Yes I have my reservations about Silva but if he arrives I will give him my full support as he is our manager and I hope he proves me wrong just like I was totally wrong about relegation. You might use the word "Tainted" but in life ALL of us err from time to time with our judgement coming into question. We are ALL humans after all ! So, at last, you agree you were wrong about Clattenburg!!

Tim sherwood had a good 6 months. Then got Susssed out as Aston Villa manager. Concerned

Also there is still questions to be answered why Leicester folded spectacularly under Ranieri after winning the League. Why did they stop playing for him ? If Leicester had been anywhere near the top half of the table he would still be there. This drop in form would of even made Pards blush.

I don't think even a total trouser and Y-fronts collapse in front of the Queen would make Pardew blush.

The odds still have him and Mancini close. I'd prefer Mancini, but if the club deemed Silva to be the right guy for the job, I'd be happy enough - decent experience prior to the PL, did well with a squad that really did rival Sunderland's for worst PL squad last season, and potentially could really modernise our club.

Completely true I have no idea how he would have done over the course of a whole season. But getting 23 points from 19 games with the squad he had was a decent return even if they did go down. I'm by no means saying I'm delighted with the prospect of him being managed just started the thread to have a discussion on it. Still not convinced either way. But also not convinced by any of the other names I've heard who would actually come here. Bizarre situation we're in. :/

Maguire looked there best player but would definitely not regard his excellent. Snodgrass was their top scorer, and he was sold in January.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |
