Punch decisions were frequently wrong... sometimes it takes to long to pass and allows interceptions. Other turns decides to shoot when there's alternatives in the box. It happened at least twice in the first half.
By the way even Kelly was poor in the City's goal but if you trail Punch moves he lets Da Silva alone!

What !

They are saying that Man C have been dominating the game and this is a fact.

Well that last quarter of an hour or so looked a lot better considering that we started off looking as though we were going to get tanked. 1-0 down to a poor goal in probably the hardest fixture of the season and we've actually created some danger.

City look bl**dy good though, we're not getting much of the second ball out of their penalty area and we're not able to get many men up because they can break so fast with it when they win it.

Remember who we're playing and the changes we've had to make. Nobody would expect us to get much out of this but we're still in it. COYP!"

After a scary start I think we played well for the last 20 minutes or so. No expectation for this one,the big game is at Swansea.

Kelly's header summed up most of that half. Look a lot like at the beach already for most of it. Where has the solid JMac gone ? However the atmosphere seems subdued there and if we can improve 2nd half we may steal a huge point which would be robbery after that half. COYP !!

I'm still laughing about the time the commentator called Wilf, Louis Zaha a few games ago,, I forget which game it was.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

City following the standard approach to dealing with Zaha, foul him. I swear defenders don't even try and win the ball off him, they just resort straight to a trip, a push, etc. He can steal us a point if he carries on the way he played in the first half.

City should clearly win this comfortably, but they did fade at the end of the half and defensively they don't look that sound. They play a similar way to all the big teams with the full backs pushing right up, so there is space for Wilf and Andros.

Tactically I just think we need to cross our fingers and keep plugging away. We need to carry on being a bit rough and tumble as the City players do look a bit soft around the edges. Our bench doesn't really offer much so I wouldn't change anything.

Not a great half but it could have been a lot worse given the start.. and we have come back into the game well. Hopefully the second half will be stretched as that is where we have the greatest chance of getting something and I would guess was our plan from the outset given the selection of Schlupp over Damo.

For me Benteke has been completely isolated and Kompany/Otamendi are always well positioned to stop him holding up the ball and distributing. I have no idea what McArthur and Puncheon are supposed to be doing.. Jimmy looks frenetic and lacking composure in his possession while Punch seems to be out of position constantly and slow to get back. Hoping for improvement from the centre 2.

I think it is possible to get something out og this one but we can`t keep giving the ball away so easyly. Can we use our wingers and the pace we can still get a point or.....3

I'm not a great fan of Puncheon at all.

What....things like De Bruyne trips somebody off the ball and it's "pay back" or elsewhere it's "took one for the team"'where as they question every tackle we make ! Suggest you put the sound on or listen to what they say !
