They are down and out as far as we are concerned now.

I have supported our team through 'Thick' and 'Thin' since the 60s - how can I be happy with our current plight towards the bottom of the table in a relegation dogfight ? You ask my dear wife if you think I am happy about it - she is 'sick to the back teeth' of my constant moaning about it ! I will be very positive and elated if we are 'Mathematically safe' but sadly I don't feel we will get to this point. All of a sudden, I like your wife.

We are going to do Moan Utd. We'll have Sakho back and somehow I just think we'll win comfortably I suspect we are going to need to win at United because I cannot see us getting anything until then and I can see both Hull and Swansea catching us. With our weakened defence I think City will be too strong and our style is unsuited to having to take the game to teams lower than us, thus Hull will do what Burnley did yesterday. Pulis won't be doing us any favours and be busting a gut against Swansea, who should turn over Sunderland. So if they get a point against Everton we will need the same against United to stay up. If Hull beat us and Sunderland then we will need to win at United to overtake them and even then they could easily beat Spurs who will have nothing left to play for. Loads of ifs and buts of course, but worrying times. Undeservedly so in my opinion because we are far too good to go down, but events have conspired against us, with the congested fixtures, the run of injuries to the central defenders and some very dodgy refereeing decisions. Sam will earn his money in the coming weeks.

Someone has to ! The poor lady has seen me at my splenetic worst as a result of our plight with the constant moaning and groaning which in all honesty is driving her mad.

We have also won something like 6 of the last 9 beating Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool on the way. Swansea's form has actually been dire in the medium term. Also some bigging up Hull but although they look strong at home, Soton were dire yesterday but almost won barring a poor penalty take and some good goalkeeping. They have conceded a shed load of penalties as well, don't look like a team with a bunch of attacking bruisers like Burnley and hurting us that way. Citeh no doubt with Toure will beat us but if we are well drilled, fresh and positive reckon we can beat Hull putting it all to bed. COYP !!

Well let's just make sure we beat Hull. It won't be easy, but, if we aren't good enough do that, then we deserve what we get.

Not the premiership then? It is their last game and by then Chelsea will be home and hosed, with Spurs guaranteed second place. They will already be planning next year and playing squad members.

If we win one of these matches we shall be safe and today it looked to me as if the most susceptible of the three teams was actually Manchester United. They could very well have been turned over by Swansea. Hull's centre back Maguire looked as if he would take some unpicking and whilst we might expose the City defence they always have goals in them. However, we should be able to do Hull with the right preparation. They had every opportunity to put Southampton to bed but their quality going forward was poor. And Southampton were terrible.

Not knowing if you go by the name of 'willo' or 'trolley' , if you support 'eagles' or 'seagulls' must also send her mental. At least she knows you are 'a dyed in the wool' tory aged 63 3/4.

One question. At this point would you rather be in our position or Swansea. We know if we win one game we will stay up. Swansea know if they loose one game they will go down. That's immense pressure for them.
