Not sure why you will defend Big Sam till the death. Imagine defending losing 2-1 at home to Swansea - hilarious.

Dont think we can judge BFS yet, but certainly a very poor start

Didn't realise Bolton had beaten us. Cup is not a priority anyway, but it is an opportunity for fringe players to stake a claim for a place.

so you think a 0-0 draw against a league 1 side is acceptable do you?

given the players we had on the pitch we really should have been winning that game...thats what the managers been brought into do...get results.

To me it's a very good result against a side going very well in league 1.It was a game that was always banana skin material.
We put out a patchwork side with a keeper who has hardly played for the past two years, kept a clean sheet, and might even have sneaked a win.
Well done Sam and the boys.

Congrats to Jules an undoubted Palace legend now. I 'm looking at the positives - a clean sheet, Kelly got a chance at CB, Fryers a full game at LB and Wardy back at right back. Remy sounds like he did really well! Townsend was lively. Even though it was "only Bolton" SA will have learnt a lot.

The replay gives the chance to rotate again and we should get the chance to see and applaud Jules. Remy will get valuable game time plus a potential new signing or two.

Well that was dull and shows just how paper thin our squad is. Good to see Remy (who may be the answer to a few of our problems. ) Nostalgia dictates good to see Jules (who will no doubt be proclaimed with zeal by the solution to all ills.)

But still struggling to see much improvement over the performances earlier in the season myself

But I shall let you all judge as I estimate a good 2 mins of highlights tonight.

The breathtaking arrogance of people on here is staggering.

You must be very new fans or have very short memories.

How many times in the recent past have we achieved results we had no business on paper achieving?

Well done Bolton.

The sense of entitlement of fans of Premier League clubs is palpable.

Someone suggested it would be a comfortable win. I did say that Bolton were riding high in Div 1 and I expected a hard game given that we would be fielding a weakened side.

We played well in the cup which distracted from the league. Then when we got to the final someone decided to drop the one player who had any form and do a silly little dance that would always come back to haunt him.

The cup this year is a distraction, league form is key.

Not a terrible result considering that realistically, only Ward and possibly Delaney and Remy would be in our starting lineup if we had a fully fit squad, out of the players who started.

We've rested players and hopefully they come in next Saturday and do the business at West Ham. A clean sheet today must surely bring a bit of confidence to the defence, no matter the opposition.
