He was rubbish in the cup final and plenty of us are not going to forgive him. He is also a cheating prick who is making excuses. Clearly not an impartial and professional ref. Good riddance.

"Mark Clattenburg has refused to stay out the sport pages since switching the Premier League for the Saudi Professional League. And the referee is back entertaining football fans as he took a water bottle to the face during a game on Saturday." (Metro, Feb 10 2018 ) Clattenburg was hit with an empty plastic bottle. I would have thrown a glass demi-john, full of urine. There can be very few reasons why he's still publicising himself. anyone else see a book/DVD on the horizon ? My sentiments exactly! Can anyone admiring someone who f***ed up so massively in one of our biggest games even call himself a fan. In my book any referee wanting to be in the spotlight is unsuitable for the job. Originally posted by Tez

A f*cking awful ref, and I’m so glad he is out of the PL. the standard is dire at the moment in England and the young ones Kavanagh, Tierney and Madley are also crap. Honestly it needs a massive shakeup because the standard has been poor for a while.

Clattenburg was the ref when we beat Brighton 0-2 in the play-off 2nd leg. Sure, there was the FA Cup Final but apart from that what's our problem with him?

Anyone notice that Clattenburtg mentions that Palace fans had a thing against him as we never won when he was in charge. Refs get abuse every game they referee. Makes me think the guy was reading through our forums in regards to knowing palace fans hated him. Bit of a long shot here... Is Willo actually Clattenburg trolling Palace fans?
