The timing seems a little strange but the decision was probably already made and we have to get the new man in before someone else comes in for them and in good time to buy a couple of new players.

Maybe Parish made the call after Swansea but wanted the Chelsea and Man U games out of the way first before getting someone in, expect a quick announcement this time.

I'm rather sad that it has come to this. Fat Sam is obviously a short term option just to keep us up (assuming he's offered the job). I thought Pardew would go a couple of weeks ago, which would at least given the new boss time to settle in before the January transfer window opened. But then, after the crap season we've had so far, who'd want to come to us?

Neil Warnock is already in the Red and Blue bar.... I suspect its more a question of approaching people and sounding out options as well as agreement with the US partners, and the board. I suspect it might not have been a unanimous decision and that once they had reached agreement, they needed to then decide who to replace him with. Parish seemed to be behind him but Pardews comments after the Swansea game couldn't have helped with the US investors.

No ones going to take the Palace job on a short deal unless it comes with a massive bonus or pay out. Plus, the football at West Ham under Sam, wasn't actually all that bad. We need to be realistic no ones going to come in for 'a few months' who is established and has a reputation at this level. If we go Sam, I suspect he'll be here next season.

Well maybe someone never wanted to take over before the Man Utd and Chelsea games. Or couldn't, say if they were finalising a settlement with the previous employers, or had to see out a period of time to receive their settlement.

They were waiting for the cheque from Pulis to clear so that they could fund Pardew's payoff. I thought Pardew's statement was dignified - wish him well wherever he goes next; although he may have had all his chances. Shame he's too old to train as a referee - would like to see him on the other side.

Do you have an opinion on the manager situation or are you merely going to highlight other people's mistakes.
