I guess his way around it will be "but I can still play for England, my mind is not 100% made up." But then that'll have repercussions with the CIV FA in the future I'd imagine... so maybe he'll play for England afterall; it's certainly not a decision I'd want to think about mid-season.

How about: Well if Clowntown are going to insist on keeping him until the Summer it kind of defeats the object. Maybe a deal still worth doing, but won't solve our problem of covering Wilf. Not that I can think of anyone we could really replace Wilf with without spending £50m, despite a couple of days of trying.
