When Pardew was at Newcastle there were fans saying that there's hope of improvement because of the individual performances we were seeing. The trouble is, if we were seeing players performing well it tended to be because they were playing for themselves. Trying to drag the side over the line on their own. The defence kept shipping goals so the attackers would try and take responsibility. The fans would say we're making a lot of opportunities at set pieces and it's just bad luck we were conceding at the other end! We we taking loads of shots! We're trying to get the ball into the box as quickly as possible! We kept conceding and never scored at set pieces which means the coaches weren't drilling the side. We had a high number of shots, but mostly from sub-optimum areas. We had a high number of crosses and long balls into the box, when in truth, with the players we had, we'd have been better off carving our opportunities on the deck because the ball kept being easily cleared. End of the day the good individual performances on the pitch were making up for a fundamentally flawed coaching approach off it. I hope for your sakes Parish does the right thing and gets shot of the charlatan so that the new man can make any necessary changes to the squad in the window. You've a top half squad there, and shouldn't be nervously eyeing the red dotted line. Suggest you address Newcastle 0 Blackburn 1, mate. Not sure why you and other assorted geordies feel the need to keep invading our forum?
Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it.. |

In case it hasn't already been mentioned, it was at best undignified for AP to mention the referee's decision for their first goal, and at worst contemptible.

No gloating or abuse is there? Anyway its clear you lot were right all along, which too few Palace fans are ready to admit.

Anybody Kelly is shot to pieces and McArthur is all over the place. Ward midfield to give a bit more protection and Townsend to have a freefree role at number 10 to stop him sulking

I don't get all the hostility either, he's stating facts and let's be honest everything they said would happen has happened, the abuse and the way they went about it was ott but the geordies were bang on.

There can be no more excuses from him. We have glaring holes and a ridiculous lack of depth in our squad, he has had four transfer windows to sort that out and spent, by my estimation, getting on for £100 million. During that time the only genuine, nailed on first team player we've sold is Bolasie. To suggest that we are still 'in transition' is an insult to each of us. Last season Mourinho was sacked because the Chelsea players weren't performing for him and this season Conte has virtually the same group in first place. Well, obviously I'm not comparing us to Chelsea in terms of quality but the point remains that our first XI are woefully underperforming and if he has lost the dressing room then that's tough luck. The last trace of defensive organisation that Pulis implemented has now gone and we are getting opened up more often than Katie Price's legs. The one constant in this league is that the team with the worst defensive record gets relegated every season and at the moment Hull are on 28 goals conceded and we are in second place on 26. No gloating Geordies at all just ones who were castagated by the national press for our treatment of Pardew when in fact we were unveiling him as a total managerial bluff... sad to see Palace were sucked in and hope you take the necessary action quickly. He is a tool of the highest order - his England credentials are a figment of his own fantasies and not based in the facts of results down the past few years.

He was right though. It was a bollocks decision. I'm no AP fan, far from it. However that was as blatant a foul as you will ever see. He looked up at the ball, then kept his eyes on the player attempting to win the ball, and blocked his attempt to get near the ball with his body, clear obstruction. He made no attempt to win the header or even jump, his sole intention was to impede the player coming in. More of an issue, what in the name of blue berry fcukmuffin was JP doing defending on the edge of his own box !!!!! one of the CB's or even one of the deep CM players, but no, it was puncheon the smallest man on the pitch defending on the edge of his own box. You couldn't make it up. But for some AP is still the best in the business. He's a fcking joke.
