He just needs to up his game, I don't think he has justified the hype about him. Blaming the defence on his performance is just hiding from the truth, WH had similar changes, but gets generally slated on here. I would like to see him come for crosses with a bit more conviction, he is unsettling the defence as they don't seem to know what he is going to do. Souare fits into our system well and is quick, not perfect but not many players are. The constant clamour for upgrading players on this site is generally outrageous, it is a risky business some players play well in some systems and teams, but not in others. It will be interesting to see how Mandanda compares to Heaton tomorrow.

What I like about him is that he appears to be able to save the ball without parrying it into a dangerous area which both WH and Speroni were guilty of a number of times. The ball also seems to stick to his gloves for more routine saves. Speroni never commanded his area but he is rightly a legend at the club. SM has shown he is capable of a good punch and has pulled off a few top class saves as well and I think if he can get a better understanding with the defence then we will have another great GK again. I for one feel much happier with SM in goal, also just for the fact that like Bolasie he makes me smile (like that cheeky rounding of the striker in one of our games). Football should be about entertainment as well as results and WH just always looked so depressed!
