So, how about a minutes applause on the 23rd (Souare's shirt number) minute every game until he's out back at a game (in the crowd)?

12/04/1993

Crystal Palace 4-1 Middlesbrough

The day a nine-year-old fell in love with the Eagles.

Don't suppose we could make an emergency loan as a result of this unfortunate incident ?

Get well soon Papé !

Unlikely, as we have Fryers, Ward and Kelly who can fill in at left back. Besides, isn't the emergency loan rule just for goalkeepers?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

It is. No different to losing a player in a game either. Luke Shaw as a recent example.

Optimistic as ever

He may have concussion, side effects could be endless... i would rule him out to being his best anytime this season, sure he may return but will his injury heal so that he has full range of movement, would it hurt after an hour or in cold weather - luckily he is in top shape but the other end of the spectrum is some people get into this kinda situation and careers are never the same and claim all they can... obviously there are those who milk the system, but yeah, this could be a shame.

Matt Jansen was the last one from us that had a life changing accident.

gutted to read about the car accident. Even the most optimistic reading of his recovery will see us losing a key member of our squad for quite some time.

Kayla did Anfield & Old Trafford

Absolutely. A serious RTI shouldn't be lauded as a team selection method; "blessing-in-disguise" proponents should be ashamed of themselves.

Spot on Dave. The most important thing is that Pape makes a full recovery with no loss of life quality.

Hope you are out of hospital and back with your family soon Pape. We are thinking of you.

Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link]

The whole idea of having a squad of 25 is that we should have cover for every position and in this case we do as Kelly can play there and according to Pardew Fryers is much improved and challenging for a place in the first 11
