Not at all, he already has an EU/Italian work permit which is transferable under EU law, and still applies in the UK until they exit. There is no such thing as an "EU work permit". Working permits are issued by each individual country and are only valid in the country of issue. An Italian work permit isn't valid for work in the UK. A Shengen visa is only for tourist travel and does not allow the holder to work in any Schengen country.

Did you read my post, if so you missed the word "transferable" and as he's played on a permanent basis in the EU since 2009, that's 7 years he has the right of residence in the EU, under EU law after 7 years residence you have the right to permanant residence. And what are you on about "Schengen Countries" the UK is and has never been part of Schengen, and a Shengen visa is for visitors not for working visitors so is not applicable. As a non EU citizen he has to have a residence permit and a work permit, and under EU law both of those are baring criminal or other adverse circumstances are transferable, it's the same as Souaré last year and Speroni 12 years ago, and Bolasie who may have been born in France but he has a DR Congo passport and Adebayor who has a Togo passport. The only time a club has a problem is if the paperwork is not correctly filled in.

Roma apparently have a bid in too. I don't know if that is just agents or his club pumping the price. I would like this guy at Palace. Can't shoot or cross according to the Youtube vid, but we're used that here. Edited by pstrutt (31 Aug 2016 11.28am)
So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |

I'm not 'hating' anyone or anything, just being realistic. I'm entitled to an opinion and the last time I checked this was a discussion board. If you don't like it, tough. I'm here, I'll say what I like, and you'll just have to suck it up.

I know. bex dave can be a bit of a depressing chap to read but he's not old fellas or a couple of others level. least he has a sarcy side. most would choose palace BTW. cos our prem money has changed everything. even rincon was on verge of joining AC flipping Milan last month and has Milan fans on his twitter and you tube welcoming him. but prem interest (from us) put that on hold. now. if a player can think twice about palace over Milan. .. you think roma is much more of a draw? money has changed everything. Definitely some truth in this but not 100%. Firstly Roma will be more of a draw as they offer European football. Pretty sure Milan finished outside of the European places so they don't. But if I was someone choosing between Palace/an other premier league club and Roma or Milan and the money was in the same sort of league, then I personally would chose Roma/Milan for the prestige. Liverpool aren't in Europe this season but I would expect any neutral player to pick playing for Liverpool over Palace if the money was comparable. Money is definitely a huge factor, but players will still move for other reasons.
