Murray sale was no brainer. Gayle plus three million for Townsend is a great deal. We are in the market for a 20/30m striker have not sold any first eleven players not sure how any Palace fan can knock the management. I agree they don't deserve to be knocked, but they certainly deserve to be questioned. Murrays sale was a no brainier only because we stayed up, but we managed it by the skin of our teeth.

Murray will get brighton promoted, rather he was still with us with brighton struggling in the championship tbh.

I am very definitely not a friend of The Weed, but even I would not advocate retaining Murray in order to deprive them of his services. He didn't maintain his Championship form for us in the PL, neither did he regain it for Bournemouth. I'm not sure, with all the threads there have been about lack of service, that too many would agree with your Zaha/Bolasie point. Maybe he will play well again in the Championship and, if he does, it will be an affirmation that he's playing at his natural level.

Why do we constantly obsess over past players and exercising our apparent expertise in hindsight? Muzza is over 30 and had an ACL injury. He's on the downward slope age-wise and had a major injury. It was a great deal. He won't make more than 25 starts for them. Murray isn't the player to fire us into the top 8, nor was Gayle. The names we are being linked with have that potential, it's about improving, not this cautious bullsh!t of sticking with what we know all the time. Unfortunately, dealing at the top end of the pitch (and market), means we have to bide our time and negotiate intelligently. Rather than, Steve from Caterham, has tweeted SP on twitter airing his concerns and told him we should never have sold Gayle - So we better pay £5m over the odds to appease him.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it. |

Well our management are not managing at all when it comes to getting in a deacent striker.Seemes like all 3 top target are not coming to palace, so we are left with what is already in the club.Wickham and Campbell.Just not good enough at all.The striker problem is something they knew was there all the time, hopefully they`ve got someone else on their radar, but I don`t think we will get anyone in this window.Lost all hopes now and will be surprised if we get one at all!!

Murray had clearly made a statement the previous season that he wasn't happy being on the bench which led to him going on loan to Reading. Unsurprisingly, when we brought in Wickham, its was pretty clear that he would be first choice, and I don't expect Murray was keen on being on the bench either.

Wickham most certainly is good enough, its a question of fitness there. As for getting in a decent striker, all we can do is make offers. You can't make someone with a high profile play for Crystal Palace.

Dont understand why some are still banging on about Murray. He was great in our championship side - not so great after his injury in the Prem. It was a mistake to get rid before a replacement was secured and SP acknowledges that. As for the Management of our club - people have short memories! We have NEVER been in better shape on and off the pitch.
