I think it's a bit of a cliche to say that Jewish people always do well in life. There is no doubt that some seem to have had a talent for business and making money but there have still been crime ridden Jewish ghettos. Speaking simplistically, it is ironic that it has been the adaptability of the Jew that seems to have made them unpopular throughout history.

I suspect that far more white people get shot by the police than black people but when it happens it's not considered newsworthy enough. The other thing I don't understand is why do they only mention the victim's colour when he's black? You don't see headlines saying "white man gets shot by police".Sorry if this has already been said but I couldn't be bothered to read all the posts.

There is obviously a racial element to this issue. To ignore that just undermines that issue and perpetuates the problem.

It's very dangerous to use stats like this. The same sort of stats will tell you that despite being in a minority, black people commit far more crime.

You could also produce figures that show that conviction rates and severity of punishment is higher for black men.

None of this solves the practical problems.

I'd say the over riding issue is guns themselves.
