Seems that new immigration rules regarding being able to stay in the UK and minimum salary are causing a staffing crisis as nurses leave for private companies so they can exceed the £35k threshold. I would like to respond to this, especially as I started the thread. However, circumstances are such that I am unable to. Why, is it racist?
Nick, I appreciate this is in jest, but its bordering on badgering a poster. It is fair enough that Fed Up Eagle has circumstances that may be more important than an internet forum discussion. Fairy Nuff.

Apparently I am not allowed to ask pertinent questions. Anything anyone says these days can and is called racist. Legaleagle calls you a fascist if you do not give a room to an asylum seeker or indeed move house - apparently that is perfectly reasonable. The yellow card was for continually badgering posters with the same question across different threads. You are allowed to ask pertinent questions. You're not however allowed to 'troll posters' across threads.

I have one too as you can see. Sadly getting one of these lefties to answer a question is like getting blood out of a stone.

They're more likely to earn 35k in the NHS than private. I don't know where to start on the racism claims but perhaps the left should re-evaluate their position on Europe if they view this as intentional discrimination against non-white, non-EU migrants.

The Royal College of Nursing's Chief Executive says: "The immigration rules for health care workers will cause chaos for the NHS and other care services. At a time when demand is increasing, the UK is perversely making it harder to employ staff from overseas. The NHS has spent millions hiring nurses from overseas in order to provide safe staffing levels. These rules will mean that money has just been thrown down the drain."

I fail to see how its important to make special rules for people who earn more than 35k per year in the UK, and those who make less. Even if they aren't UK citizens. If you're working in the UK, you're contributing to the UK. Infact, given the rate of permanent residence for migrant workers is quite low compared to the number of migrant workers, you're probably end up contributing more than you cost (ie the UK will make a net profit in terms of taxation to welfare costs). The idea that someone who works in the UK but earns less than 35k should be refused a permission to work more than six years, but someone who earns over 35k doesn't is absurd.

I think I asked the dreaded 'I' questions on 'I' related threads or at least in reply to posts that had mention the 'I' word. Do you think it would be ok to start a specific thread asking people to give their answers to the 'I' questions, or would that invoke a clubbing from the badger cullers?

As a rule, Moderators aren't supposed to discuss cards or reasons. It had nothing to do with the word immigration, but the fact you posted the same question, on a different thread, to the same poster several times, and then posted the same reply on a different thread, after a warning had been given in the first thread.
