I'll say it again. People who are underwhelmed by Bamford's transfer know nothing about football. They've been blinded by the premier league and possibly don't bother looking at talent lower down the leagues.

The boy has bags of potential! The only reason for being underwhelmed is knowing it isn't permanent. Bamford is a class act. If he makes the step up quickly he'll do really well.

Hes said it before and he will says to gain. If you don't agree with him you know nothing. REALY.

Very happy if it is Bamford, talented young and hungry just what we need. And hopefully it means some other mugs can pay over the odds for Austin.

Don't always agree with what you post, but that is spot on!

in your humble opinion of course.
I'm not convinced he will fit into our style of play. And yes I have seen him play a few times recently

He will fit into our system. Very similar player to Matt Jansen (as I've said on the bamford thread). Like Jansen he likes going deep to receive the ball but his hold up play and heading ability is decent too (again like Jansen).

The sad thing is I reckon we'll be longing for his permanent signing after a few months but Chelsea won't sell.

Now that you mention it , he does seem very similar to Jansen ,this lad does have potential , Having not seen enough of him overall , I hope your right and he can make the step up , just like Jansen did , he is one of my favourite ever players for palace!! Like I said yesterday though I would like another more proven striker , preferably someone big and physical.

Well, the key bit is "on the plane tomorrow." That means it can't be anyone who's on tour somewhere far away so Remy is ruled out and so is Bamford if he's with Chelsea in the States (unless he's flying back to the UK as we speak.) It could, however, be someone who looks like Remy.

What? Why? Weird!

A loan deal for Bamford shows no ambition at all in my opinion. We need a Premier league goal scorer not a championship one. If this was a permanent deal it would be an excellent signing but we have him on loan. He is no better than Murray or Gayle so what is he bringing to the squad other than just adding another backup option.

We've said all summer and all of last season we need a new striker to start games but Bamford is not that player.

The people saying that he's better than Sanogo and Ameobi are stating the plain obvious, they were squad players as well...

Totally agree with the above post. We need a permanent striker to take us to the next level a loan deal wont cut it. How can we accomadate Bamford/Chamakh/Murray and the inevitable permanent striker in our squad? Thats with Gayle and Campbell leaving...

Why not wait until the end of the window before making comments like this. How good a deal this is depends on who else we buy..

I for one am very happy to wait and see what happens.
Did we think we would get Cabaye?
I just know 2010 & AP will get it right

SP recently said we are going for 3 more signings after Cabaya .With 2 tomorrow think the 3rd will be a centre half, not another forward.

I don't mind it being a loan deal as we may have first refusal to buy him next season or have a future fee agreement with them if loan is successful.

Just enjoy the roller coaster that is a palace transfer window.
