Couple that with the fact that even though the economy is apparently recovering and all is good, there are horrific cuts still to come and Ian Duncan Smith won't even tell us where they are going to come from as he doesn't see it or the electorate that will suffer as 'relevant' (during the election run in funnily enough as it's obviously poisonous). It's scary if you're not wealthy and you hear/read this stuff. The cuts are seen by many as an ideological policy, not a necessary one. This is unadulterated garbage the likes of which appear in the likes of the 'Mirror' and 'Socialist Worker'. It's actually BECAUSE of the difficult decisions taken by the Government in the wake of being left with a dire economy that a recovery has been possible. Of course the work is still not done and more difficult decisions need to be taken to continue the recovery.There is much to be done, we have made significant progress, let's not wreck it by voting in Labour. I would love to add to this but this will do for the time being. I now have to go out on campaining duties ! I really hope you don't talk to the electorate like that while you're out there campaigning my friend. But yeah, come down to Southwark and talk to the electorate like that as see how far that gets you. Cutting taxes for the richest and cutting benefits for the poorest or most vulnerable is an ideological policy and absolutely unnecessary and the electorate can see through it. I'm sure the million food bank users this year were all very proud of our government when they went to pick up their parcels. Gideon is a fraud and every single economic target he set has been missed or revised. He's utterly clueless.

The reality is that what got us into this mess and what will get us out of it is minimally down to anything we did or will do. It's a world economy. The banking collapse was global, the recovery will be global. There was no avoiding what happened. Any insistence that it's labour's fault or the tories fault' is a comforting flight of fantasy.

Labour no more wrecked the ecconomy than the conservatives saved it. All that happens outside of their control, they just pursue policy. The conservatives cut public spending, true, but thats hardly a 'ground breaking original conservative strategy' its what they always do. Labour resolve peoples perception of problems by spending on public services, and increasing revenue whilst the conservatives address peoples perception of problems by reducing costs and making tax cuts. Same as its always been.

It's funny how Tories can't defend their record, they can only attack New Labour's record or Ed Milliband's face. Complete silence current Labour policy apart from a plucked from thin air £3k tax rise and Cameron is at it again today using the desolvement of parliament for political point scoring. Their whole campaign has been run on bile, anger and personal attacks with nothing on policy because they know that theirs are completely toxic. Cameron is a lizard.

Cutting taxes for the richest This is a cynical class war sound-bite trotted out incessantly by Labour since the top rate of tax was cut from 50p to 45p. In reality the share of tax paid by the top 1% of tax payers is projected to rise from 25% in 2010 to 27% this year, higher than in any one of Labour's 13 years in power. Furthermore the lower paid 50% of tax payers now pay a smaller portion of income tax than at any time under the previous government.
