Obviously well happy that we won but what a great example of refereeing. He set his stall out in the first half, applied the rules the same to each incident and I thought he was excellent. Wayne Barnes is getting stick but I totally agree - just watched the game and he was very good (and you cant always say that about him). England should have put 50 points on Scotland - Lancaster must be spitting in private because that game scorewise was a lot closer than it had any right to be Really hoping the Italians give the French a shoeing today. Going to be a great last weekend whatever I couldn't believe the first 20-30 minutes of the England game. England seemed to have so much going forward I don't think a 20 point lead would have been unreasonable but fair play to Scotland they came back well. I can't understand why Barnes is getting stick. He gave very clear instructions and, to me, seemed consistent in his application of the rules throughout the game. I'm not sure you can ask any more of a ref. Some football refs could learn from his performance. He can be inconsistent to say the least but yesterday he got most right for me. Poitre in the England game had a decent one as well. Wales deserved it as well - although Ireland did what England did at Dublin and seemed to freeze at the start Next week will be fabulous - just wish the games were going off at the same time though I think that would be the fairest thing to do, none of the sides would be able to gain an advantage from knowing exactly what they had to do. I do think it is between England and Ireland. I'm not sure we have it in us to win by 25+ points against Italy and I'd have thought both England and Ireland will win.

We don't amd even if we did I sort of hope we don't. Historically we have let Tripple Crowns / Championship wins mask a whole host of deficiencies. Hopefully we win next weekend but know we still have work to do before the WRC.

There were some better signs, we seemed to be trying to get the ball out to the wing a bit more and the defence was very good.

Wales v Ireland was a great match. So nice to have long spells of open play. We should've been 21-0 ish in the first half and then somehow we're down 7-10. A missed opportunity.

I think the boys have been given some Merthyr marching powder at half time.

I think the boys have been given some Merthyr marching powder at half time. Italy just have no mental toughness do they - they lost a quick try early at the start of the half and then they simply gave up...Got to wonder whether they should be in the 6N to be honest. They aren't moving on at all. Sets it all up for later though - England and Ireland have got to murder the French and Scots...

I think both Ireland and England have it in their lockers to get the points targets they need - whether they do or not's another matter. I fancy England slightly more purely because like Italy, the French heads have the potential to go down pretty quickly...temperamental Johnny Foreigner TV on - Palace on laptop - gonna be good

I think I'm going to end up with Marty Feldman eyes trying to watch the tele and pc at the same time.

Scotland showing all the Braveheart qualities of a girl scout troop and didn't face up at all to the Oirish...England know have to tear France a new un...should make for a good game if nothing else...I am on such a massive high after that win in Stoke I don't know what to do with meself - plus I am a week in with no fags so this will be a test

I still think England have it in them to get the points required against France but Scotland were really poor.
