Just my opinion, but I don't see a problem in getting Gestede in. Murray is wanted in the championship we know that. We want more firepower, sadly Murray ain't a young un no more. No one is guaranteed a starting place are they, not even players like Murray. But I think he will get more starts in the championship than he will at Palace. Football just ain't a sentiment thing as far as players are concerned it about playing week in week out. Even when I played Saturday and Sunday football I didn't really give a sh1t who I played for I just wanted to play. So even if we flogged Murray to Reading for 2 mill and got Gestede for 6 mill it will be getting a younger player for the future. 6 mill ain't a lot in the prem is it, we apparently paid that for Gayle and he has paid most of that back in the last 2 seasons cos we have stayed up. We want to stay in this league and another young striker added might just help, injuries to Gayle etc . Don't get me wrong I love Murray and he's a legend at Palace but sadly time marches on. And Murray will definitely get games in the championship which is what he wants, but I don't think he will get a lot of games at Palace.

If we had one fewer than Sanogo, Chamakh and Muzza then I'd say its a big yes from me to get this guy in.

However, Muzza knows our team and he plays so well with Gayle AND even if he got injured again I think Chamakh deserves a go up top.

Chamakh was one of our best 3 players last year, playing in a deeper role. People moan about his lack of goals but that is down to where he has been deployed.

If McJedley is a given in our system (or any 3 centre mids) then Chamakh DESERVES a chance up top with Gayle. He has more ability than Muzza, I think he just needs a hunger for the net.

And this is disregarding Sanogo. It really depends on how Pards wants to line us up, one striker or two.

If it means Muzza and Chamakh drop down the pecking order I dont want to get this guy in unless its for a modest fee and for him to add depth to our squad.

gestede, sanogo, gayle, murray, campbell, chamakh

decent

yea we could play them all at once ,that would really cause chaos

There will be some movement out in the forwards department.

Agree. Bottom of the pecking order for me, and that's allowing for Sanogoals as well, who I really hope can do what he hasn't done so far at Arsenal but that's more hope than expectation

If any makeweight needs to go out in any deals or to offset some cash I hope its him rather than GM

Guy's

Muray does not want to sit on the bench in order for him not to do that at Palace he needs to score goals which sadly for him he has not been able to do at this level it is time to move on get 2 million and spend it somewhere else

No he doesn't. He played up top for two games before he got injured and failed to have a single attempt on goal. He's had just 6 shots in 11 games this season - that's not shots on target, just any shots. I haven't forgiven him for diving at Southampton last season when he was well-placed to score.
