Very disappointing. Glad it was only two! They never got out of second gear and looked capable of scoring anytime they had to. We just didn't give them a game. Too many misdirected passes that made us look like the team we were, and not the team we had become. I know we were up against real quality but that's no excuse for simple errors.

At least I think something was confirmed today because
I think Murray looks completely ought of his depth at this level. No ball retention. No instinctive strikes. Slow of thought and movement. Caught offside too easily. I suspect he will be elsewhere by the start of next season.

Palace played well. Don't know what those who say otherwise were watching(or smoking?)We played Pulis's brand of strong counter attacking football and there were periods where City just couldn't get near the ball. The standard of passing was vastly superior to that at the start of the year and it was good to watch.

City are a quality team (Do even need to say that? Apparently so!)Their goals came from that quality rather than any defensive wealness. No, the reason we lost this was nothing to do with lack of desire or poor form. It's the same weakness we have have since Spurs at home - we struggle to finish.

I just watched Dwight for last 15 minutes and ignored everyone else.

Loved your goal at Villa fella but your movement is pants for this level as is your looking and hunger for the ball.

Pity.

sorry to quote your post because there are a few on here i am
annoyed with. we just lost 2-0 to the team who will probably win the league and people are slating murray and jerome. we were outclassed because man city are better. yaya toure is worth more than our club so please enjoy the next 2 games. every player has done us proud and has every right to have an off.game. WE R STAYING UP

Yep agree Kerms - Gayle is a long way short and when a club like ours spends 4.5m we really cant afford to spend it on potential

One of a few who could well be moved on next season, perhaps on loan back to the Championship for Dwight ????

I'd sell him tbh whilst Palace's stock is high. Take the hit. Let him go for £1.5mill.

He really won't come back to haunt us. Well not in The Prem anyway.

Yaya Toure is a world class player even today he wasn't fit and still pulled the strings. No shame today, conceding early is always a problem when you are a defensive counter attack side. palace played well but not as good as City in the first half. Simples

....if this was an important game where we needed something I'm sure he wouldn't of been put on, Pulis has the luxury now of testing players through their endeavors in training to see if anything has changed and although being up against this years Prem winners (they wont lose it now) he has made little noticeable improvement, he was a gamble and a gamble he still remains, but Ince looked very capable again, just needs to bulk up a bit I think and Murray as I thought would struggle with that nasty injury and playing against quality players...still has it in him though to come back.

.......has our coach driver done a Poo'yet, without thinking about Gus!

Ah well after the way we had be playing and our work rate they never got out the traps today, were safe after 10 games who would have thought it. Cant complain about anyone in a palace shirt, so we were outplayed after what they have done who can blame them for taking there foot off the pedal.

and now Fred Davis will try for the pink, for those watching in black n white its just behind the green..........

I thought we were ok today. Some of our stuff was good, some not so good. City were clearly fired up by the Chelsea score. It looked like at times we tried to play with a little less caution, and why not, we are safe, against arguably the champions elect and it give TP a view of players doing something different or different players. Fans as always fantastic! Yes we lost but hey oh we have them again twice next season :-)

Agree with Murray - I think he needs a preseason with Pulis - we weren't ever going to see the best of GM this season

Ince as a free agent at the end of the season could well be worth the gamble - Its clear he has a lot to learn but with a better and more experienced team around him have could flourish as Yala and Puncheon have done
