Here's another one having read the paper this morning. Returning to the car in Enmore Road quite happy after a win(??) in the sun and turning on Radio 2 and listening to the commentary on the bodies being recovered by fans and stretchered away at Hillsborough.

Couldn't drive anywhere just had to sit and listen. Other Palace fans coming back to their cars turning on the radio and just sitting there.

Watching the united players celebrating with the fa cup. Horrible. Claridges shin - horrendous. The killer with that is knew we'd lose Nigel Martyn and that brief period of playing great football - under harry Bassett of all people, wd draw to a close. Loved that side too.

forget the year (early 90s i think) but when we missed 3 penalties in one game and lost to Brighton.

Was one of my first games and I can still remember the pain

?? 1989 , there were 5 pens in the game v the weeds at Selhurst. We got 4 of them and missed 3. Still won 2-1 though.Still the most pens in a British league match.

Has to be Higginbotham In the last minute for me. When Ventola scored i think Selhurst believed we were staying up so when they equalised so late on it was so painful. Add to the fact the saints fans were in the old away place next to block B giving it large after the goal went in made it even worse.

Once upon a time, on a football pitch far, far away ( Nottingham)....losing badly to Forest with still a good few minutes of the 2nd half to play. Cloughie had already used all his subs but pulled a striker off " to give him a rest". Class from Clough but humiliating for us .....felt worse after that game than after any relegation or the cup final replay.

76 defeat to Southampton in the semi. I was in bits afterwards.

I still don't like Southampton though...

For me it is pure hatred I am afraid.

I remember that as well. It was the most studied and deliberate insult and I hated Clough and Forest ever since.
