Everybody had been crying out for Bannan recently but when we saw him last week he had little influence on the game.
There must have been a good reason why JW was only loaned for one month and not till the end of the season. And if, as reports suggest, he has found top form and is playing out of his skin then perhaps he may be recalled.
He would make a fantastic hero.

confidence in a footballer can make all the difference.

Walking into a championship side from a premiership team, i imagine it makes you feel lifted, it may give you that extra bit of confidence as mentally you may think 'i usually play at a higher standard'

Not saying JW is like this, but it seems he is loving the opportunity

Where would you play JW in this side Maxi? I don't disagree that it's a shame to see him loaned out, just not sure where you see him in this current side increasing our chances of goals.

At attacking mid/behind the striker, he isn't going to be tenacious enough for this side. There's too much of a gap between Jedinak and KG/Ledley. I could see Jonny getting isolated too much and not providing for the striker. For me, the best player we have for that position is Chamakh. Not his 'natural' position maybe, but he impresses me regularly with hold up play and ability to find a decent pass in a very pressurised part of the field.

Problem was, Johnny Williams wasn't making a huge difference back when he was playing for us, and he'd taken a few knocks. Better he gets first team action and confidence, than 20 mins a week if were losing.

He is making a huge difference at ipswich because he is starting and a manager has faith in him. Pulis did neither

Probably posted elsewhere, sorry if it has been, but TP was at Portman Road last night..... wonder who he was watching?? Back with us in two weeks ???

Williams hasn't looked good in the prem because he has been stuck out on the wing. Has not played his true position all season

I have never seen him play in said true position except for maybe Dougie. Holloway used him on the wing. Chamakh plays in Williams "True Position" is Williams better then Chamakh?

Williams would have known Pulis was there, the lad has been loaned out, he is young, Hungry and enthusiastic. He has been loaned out for a month not for the rest of the season but a month, this means to me Jonny has a month to show Pulis what he can do and he has been doing it. When his month is up I can imagine Pulis walking over and saying to him "I've seen what you can do here now, do it for me Jonny boy". Then Jonny scores the winning goal at Fulham in the 93rd minute to keep us up he jumps into the crowd and is thrown about like a rag doll in celebration. WE CAN ONLY HOPE.

Please, please, please don't let our fate hinge on the last kick of the last match of the season!!

Can't bear the thought of another nerve-shredding finale - last year was bad enough.

We must win our next four games, then we can all enjoy a relaxing time over Easter

Oh come on Merganser, you know how it works. You knew from the day the fixtures list was announced. Live with it, last minute of last match on last day of the season. Guaranteed.

He could be a game changer, coming on when Chammy has worn himself out. His energy in the last 20 could be worth a couple of wins.

Yeah that's fair enough, don't get me wrong I think he has potential to be a top player and can compete now tbh. But a loan is a good move IMO
