I would have thought TP will walk if he doesnt get the players he has asked for. Why employ a top manager, promise him funds and then dont deliver your promise. TP told SP that players were wanted at the beginning of the window, here we are in the last week of the window and not 1 player has crossed the line. What exactly is Ian Moody doing? He was brought in as the messiah for transfers as SP f***ed up so badly in the summer. Waste of money so far. Those that think this squad of players can stay up are deluded, we are the lowest scorers in the league, please tell me where goals are going to come from? Got to slacken the purse strings to stay up. TP stated that it was hard to get players to go to Stoke, seems the same can be said for CP.
Theres 7 mistakes, players not good enough for the prem at present. Please dont say some of these are for the future, its NOW we need players. Wouldnt be acceptable if it was my money that was being spent. Knee jerk panic solutions to get squad bigger, not better.

TP might be frustrated but he's an employee and on a huge salary and needs to get on with the job in hand. If he goes at the end of the season so be it but as we know its in his interests to stay and keep us in the PL as he will will make huge bonuses. Perhaps not everyone is motivated purely by money. Tony Pulis has an excellent reputation as a manager and he won't want to lose that because of a chairman who promises him the earth to get him to join then breaks his promises once the ink is dry on the contract.
i wouldav imagined (neither of us know) that there was a ballpark figure on money available for transfers, not an agreement to buy certain players.
Just out of curiosity how can you confirm this ....were you in on the interview. This is from a first team coach talking to a good friend who used to be a Palace academy coach.

Wouldnt be acceptable if it was my money that was being spent. You can hardly say Hunt was a mistake. The lads been injured for ages! Give him a fair shot. I don't think Gayle was a mistake either. I genuinely think the kid could do a job in the prem given a run of games. The others you're right about. Severely hope that this is all bollocks and that Pulis wasn't promised lots and delivered nothing.

Your story is quite possibly true, but it's based on small bits of evidence and I don't think you can follow it with certainty To win a case in the High Court you have to prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt but the County Court works on the balance of probabilities and you are correct that I can't prove anything beyond a shadow of a doubt but the balance of probabilities is a completely different matter and stringing together a lot of circumstantial evidence and rumour brings me to the conclusion that all is not right at Selhurst Park. I wouldn't accuse anyone of lying as that is a very emotive word but it is entirely possible that Steve Parish changed his mind in much the same way that I don't think that Dougie Freedman lied with his "job half done" comment but he had a change of heart too. I think that Parish is a bit out of his depth in the Premiership and has changed his views several times already. When we were promoted I complained at the time about his continued negative sound bites as his first comment was that there would be no marquee signings and then he complained that they had been interested in a number of players but they were all too expensive. It looked like we would get no-one except the rejects that no-one else wanted but it was fairly obvious that Parish then realised that if he wanted to play with the big boys he would have to pay the big boys fees so right at the eleventh hour we started to look at more expensive options like Chamakh, Bendtner and Bent. Whatever master plan we had backfired and we were haemorrhaging points like crazy until Holloway left. It was fairly obvious to Parish that the squad wasn't good enough for the Premiership so he employed Tony Pulis with the promise that funds would be available to strengthen the squad in January. Tony Pulis wove his magic and our squad of losers suddenly improved beyond all recognition and from being worried that we would beat Derby's worst ever points total we actually improved sufficiently to move out of the relegation zone and I think that it was probably at that point that Steve Parish decided that we could we could probably stay up without spending any more money so he changed his mind again. What makes me think that this scenario has the ring of truth is that Tony Pulis can hardly come out and complain about his chairman in from of Sky's cameras so he drops some non attributable hints to a journalist friend who runs the story for him. Isn't that what any of us would do in the circumstances? It wouldn't surprise me at all if you're right, but I'm willing to reserve full judgement until the window closes

I heard from a good source that TP and moody, don't get on, it seems that SP has now gone on holiday to Bermuda, at what can only be described as an important time for this football club. ummm....Maybe I should have forgotten it, but it always struck me as odd, under the circumstances when SP went away from Selhurst at half time against Barnsley (I think) a good while back - to go to Brands Hatch for a pre-scheduled race meet- it's not so much what you do. it's the timing that gives out the signals

gayle has had 1/4 of the starts chamakh has and scored 1 goal less...i honestly think if gayle had started every game like chamakh has he would be on 8 goals by now. campana has been underused...has looked like a very clever player with a great pass but hasnt seen the light of day since fulham! ward...obviously injured, and im intrigued to see how he works out.

On top of which Dobbie wasn't a mistake. We had a deal that said if we took him on loan when we did we then had to buy him in the summer. We took him on loan, went up and then had to buy him. He helped us get promoted, not really a mistake that.

I love the way people just immediately dismiss this as crap or lazy journalism just because they don't want it to be true. Has any single person who has posted on this said anything with any substance either way? No. Because none of us know whether its true or not. We are all just fanning the flames and the journalists will love it.

That paper has a poor reputation for a reason.

Unless the academy is not producing talent at the level we want? Whilst our academy is good, it is not as amazing as everyone makes out, if it were we would have 16 y/o's making the bench game in, game out pushing the 1st 11 for their places. We rarely do and that's not down to the managers, it's because the kids coming through are just not good enough. I see 2 mistakes in that list, Marange & Phillips. The others all have their part to play and I agree that Gayle would most probably have bagged more goals given more game time.
