I knew I'd find a gig I'd actually been to if I trawled long enough - Brooce Springsteen at Wembley in 1985 was a cracker, def in my top five gigs of all time, just behind : 4. Guilfest 2003 - Stranglers, Madness and Undertones on the same bill

I saw The Roots at the Bristol Academy last Friday and they were absolutely awesome. Best gig I've ever been to. Loads of their best material! The bassist had a 10 minute solo, just on his bass - I have no idea how he even managed to do half of it! ?uestlove, the drummer, and the other percussionist had a duel for about 15 minutes. Phat played Apache by The Sugarhill Gang, as well as Crazy In Love, Push It and various other classics! They played Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin as Black Thought introduced the band! Such a good gig!! They played for well over 2 hours too. I can't think of a single reason to criticise the gig. Go see them if you ever get the chance! I promise that you would not be disappointed!!
