Does anyone remember an early round in the cup v Tooting & Mitcham ? stabbings after the game on figs marsh. Chelsea supporters turned up supprting T & M for the day. I remember 1 bloke on crutches being attacked on the terrace and thrown over the advertising boards onto the pitch. Similar story at Brentford in a pre season friendly. this was also taken over by chelsea scum as they had no match on that day. Thank god these days are now over. being an old gitnow I take my son as often as I can but would be horrified if I knew he was going to be put through this

Like it was yesterday, never been so fecking scared in my life, and being a Mitcham boy,it was my so called frigging mates who were the T& M firm for the day.Never ran so fast in my life across Figges Marsh, totally the wrong way from where I lived......Gawd I never wanna go back to those days...

If he reads these boards, Nigel Elsey from the Monks Hill Estate. Late 1980's, Norwood junction, platform 2 full of happy Leicester City fans after they had beat us. He raging, walked onto their platform (for a dare too), punched and kicked as many people as he could. They didn't know what was happening for a hood 10 seconds.....and then he disappeared under a mountain of boots and fists. When their train left he stood up covered in blood, completely battered, raised his arms in the air and screamed "YEEEAAAH".
Legendary fisticuffs I've never forgotten.

So many stories. John (on here), Craig and his bro from Croydon, Lee Mal, John (Man Utd & Leeds & Palace fans) & Curly, Roy (West Ham & Palace), Bullet, Pat, Latter, Mark, Gary & Grant (twins), Dean and a few I can't remember, our little firm from New Addington sometimes alongside Clive and Adrian. Scary but fun times.

I forgot to add the scariest away day, duh!!
Oxford, lost 5-0 got attacked by a gang of black fellas armed with
catapults that fired ball bearings and saw one of the twins get hit on the head with a claw hammer. Oh, got stabbed in the knee too. Bit of a mare that day.

I thought the match was a pre-season friendly to be honest. But I could be wrong. JohnT can you remember?

I was at that Brentford match. Having heard the Palace singing, I entered the ground only to find it was the home end. A fight broke out which as you said were Chelsea boys. I was turned out of that end into what I thought was a safe area of the seats( I think) down one side, but it happened again, it was only when I got down to the away end that I felt safe. Can't even remember what the game was like. Was looking over my shoulder for the whole match!

The kids in the AWM (Arthur Wait massive) photo facebooked Grant to see if he wanted to feature but he was out that day buying a new bomber jacket. Man that bloke could shout songs loudly.

Lol hairest experiance very good Rb

I've had quite a few over the years, one year Charlton away in the ealry 80's we went in a car convoy from the Wilton and turned over a pub up by the water pumping house easily, ran them everywhere, but the next year we were half the number and were instantly turned round as we entered the pub we met by loads of their top boys and they ran us all over the place! Me and another old face had to jump over a garden fence to save ourselves a certain kicking as there were at least 10 clowns chasing us as we had broken away from the other 15! Anyway I was cacking it!
Dished out a slap or two after game tho just to even the score, mate got arrested just for swearing! lol
