Only just read this then. Brilliant work Isobel. I really enjoyed reading your essay. How fantastic that all the palace players got to read it in the changing rooms before the Swansea game as well. I hope they all took note!

I think Steve Parrish should invite Isobel to the club and let her become a mascot for the day. A true inspiration to the club and she at least deserves this.
Pinch me, I'm dreaming, but if it is don't let me know. |

Also think this thread should be pinned and/or have Gold bestowed on it for its timeless and inspirational message.

It will definitely go "gold" but I don't want to move or pin it whilst people are still reading and responding. I don't think I have responded myself yet, but I have read it several times and can only say I share everyone's views on what a great piece of work it is. It is an example of how simple it can be to support this club and how people often are spoiling their own enjoyment of being a supporter by over-complicating and over-analysing everything. My suggestion is that since we have regular (excellent) articles from Jamesy as a senior statesman on the HOL, that perhaps Isobel might want to write a youngster's view for the HOL masses every now and then to remind us idiots of how lucky we are to support this wonderful club and have it put on the front page for all to see (Before she gets employed by Sky to front Soccer Saturday! )

Young Isobel definitely appears set for stardom and world domination. If Burley does go, maybe she could replace him?

A number of proud parents have mentioned how their children support our Palace - as a suggestion would it work to have a "Junior Palace Talk" link so they could all contribute their Palace views and ideas? By having a separate tab they could look safely (I would hope) as there should not be the strong language and tones that do occasionally occur on the normal threads. Just an idea?

All those 'Davids 20' shirts are being replaced with 'Isobel 11' . Well done, it was a great read.

Thread pinned as requested to stop it disappearing! If it moves now, it will be to Gold Talk. As for the idea of a Junior HOL forum, I am sure it can be considered but it is something that would need very heavy moderation and probably a commitment from parents to help with the creation of topics to discuss as well as to make sure nothing untoward is going on. We've talked before about having a forum for younger users and such (to avoid arguments about text speak and such) but really the end result is that HOL demands people adhere to the rules of the forum and if you don't, you will be banned, so there seemed little need. I think a junior forum is a different idea, but I don't know what the uptake would be. I'll put it up for discussion.
