As the saying goes....the fascists of the future will call themselves anti fascists. Attributed to Churchill but I can't find that...probably anon.

I wonder what some posters would think of the 4,000 British nationals that fought Franco. The ethos of intolerance should be matched with similar force that they wish to apply. So in the States the 1st and 2nd Amendments etc do not just apply to the minority of racists and fascists in the US. Some on here would cream their pants at the sight of a black group "bearing arms".

Bulls*** excuse. There is no real far right problem here. What far right marches do we have here? People like you stir up more trouble than anything else. Our security services...well, our politicians are keen to over empathize the far right in the country and absurdly equate it to the massively more significant Islamism problem......when in comparison the lack of progress on Islamism will only increase the other. In the US there is are real differences in the culture that paint a different picture. The far right in the US will become a larger problem.....but groups like antifa will only increase their size more quickly. It's a joke thinking physically fighting extremists works....that's how Hitler rose. It's not just about marches Stirling.

You don't 'defeat' concepts in a democracy. You have different groups and you argue your position.....The most popular ideas will succeed in the marketplace of ideas. Unless society has broken down....that's how we do it. You lock up or if you can deport the mostly men of violence who believe that force should be used to achieve political dominance.

Far right groups aren't significant here. We don't have a massive security budget focused on fascism.....you are just absurdly biased in your emphasis. Edited by Stirlingsays (17 Oct 2017 12.01pm)

Do you have a final solution?

Nice. He knows what he is saying and he is disgusting. I note the Fascists have totally ignored my point on fighting Franco but you know in the 1930s which side they would have been on.

A war between fascists and communists? The soviets backed the communists and Hitler and Mussolini backed the fascists. I would have stayed out of it and moved. I'm a democrat. That said, I've read that most democrats who were there fought on the communists side....Orwell did...though he quickly became disillusioned with the communists...So if I were forced to pick a side I would have fought for them rather than Franco.
