Re the stimulus, it begs the question why Trump did not get on and do it rather than spending his time peddling endless theories about rigged election results.
As to calling out the tyrants of the world - especially Putin - he has been working against the US and the West more generally for years. Just look at the cyber attack on the Pentagon, again trying to interfere in the electoral process and the numerous murders of opponents both within and outside Russia. For a really good background read, I would refer you to "Putin's people - how the KGB took back Russia and then took on the west" by Catherine Belton. Also includes a very insightful chapter on "the network and Trump".

The rather obvious answer to that is that the Democrats stopped him....you obviously don't really follow US politics that closely.....Nancy Pelosi put up a number of barriers with the obvious intent of delaying until after the election.

Well, I wouldn't disagree with you on aspects of Putin....However, while Russia is a major power we mustn't forget that it also has the economy of California.

The far more important threat is China. On all the aspects you mention, cyber attacks, human rights it makes Russia pale into insignificance.

Also economically it has the power to corrupt and invest into infrastructure which you rely upon...and hence blackmail and bully countries....Russia also has this ability with piped gas (which needs to change). However, China is investing and gaining influence in multiple continents and it's decidedly anti western.

Yet you just swallow the Democrat's line, because corrupt people like Biden have had ties to China and other corrupt countries for decades. One of his first acts in, what you regard as a good 100 days was to allow China back into US infrastructure.

As for election interference....didn't the Democrats spend tens of millions on that trying to impeach Trump for years...wasting valuable state time, only to end up with nothing but 'orange man bad'.

Actually, you are quite wrong - I do follow/have studied US politics closely and I don't "just swallow Democrat lines". My views are my own formed ones and I certainly don't share your comment re Biden being corrupt - pretty rich given the behaviour of his predecessor!
As to election interference, why don't you take a look at the book I mentioned and I would be interested to see if it changes your mind in any way.
Cleary, we have very different perspectives on this and I suspect many other things. I am not intending to continue a debate like the highly personal one you and Wisbech have been having over many months. I will just leave it at that and enjoy the afternoon.

If you follow US politics quite closely then why on earth would you have asked why Trump hadn't passed the stimulus?

As for reading leftist books on Trump, it would have to be a leftist I respect and while I disagreed with him I did that with Bob Woodward's book. In terms of interference I can only direct you to my previous comments....tens of millions spent and years of state time for no result.

I've had the leftist perspective up to here and it's been in control for decades so I see the ruinous damage it does everyday.

So forgive me but I'll take a pass.

For one, it isn't 'his stimulus'....this was coming with Trump as well, the difference is that Trump wanted it larger.
For two, publicly calling out leaders of nations who will then work against you is what stupid people do.
For three, what steady hand? Seriously, America is now losing jobs and is fighting border controls.

Chinas success in combatting the corona virus is bound to be seen by them as a vindication of their communist system as being for the greater good.

4,000 deaths out of a population of 1.5 billions plus.

Contrast that with the USA, 550,000 deaths and rising but also its decay into division violence racism and insurrection led by its former president, Trump.

Biden is doing a good job whereas there was only denial before, but he must accept his countries lowered status in eyes of the world.

Bombs, sanctions, bullying, Joe you had better face reality.

China Russia and others ain't going there, anymore.

You had better fix your own back yard.

To say that Biden is not corrupt shows a lack of understanding of his long and slippery political career.
Forget Trump - Joe Biden is right up there in dodgy deals to benefit him personally, taking money from the public purse and protecting his Son, who if he were any one else would already be rotting in jail for life.
You are biased like the rest of us!
