I don't recall the fans and forums writing off Glenn Murray at all.
it was the manager and Chairman ( but since he has been banging them in for fun in the PL it was all the manager per the Chairman )

No comparison between Murray leaving and the Benteke problem

Yeah, the people who slate the club because we ‘wrote off Glenn Murray too soon’ are happy to write off Benteke.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

It will be interesting to see how he performs in Belgium's friendly against Saudi Arabia on the 27th, assuming he is picked of course.

If he continues to plod around as he does with us (this season) I think one can assume there is definitely something up with him and his head. If on the other hand he puts in an action packed performance maybe we could assume his problem is with the club... just a thought?

Getting rid of his brother?

Over how many games ? I'm going to educate a guess and say its got to be about 30 ish games, so that's 1 good good chance missed (allegedly) every other game. not exactly terrible is it ?

My point, which seems to have been largely missed by the majority is that a striker is only as good as the service he is provided with, and to be fair to him he's been injured, and our whole squad has been decimated through injury, I actually believe that if you take into account the s*** 7 game start, the ridiculous amount of injuries we have had, and the boards incredulous attitude to strengthening the squad we are massively lucky to still have our premiership destiny in our own hands (just about).

Benteke is not s*** he's a good player getting bad service, now that we have RLC Wilf Cabaye coming back we should see more goals from him, im Confident we will.

I'll have whatever you are having.

The no service thing is just complete nonsense. He has missed endless chances. He is a 30m Belgian international that you should stop making excuses for. He is bloody useless. Last season he wasnt this season he is. His all round game is not up to scratch. Hence the reason he was hauled off at half time. His movement is terrible. Watch him on the counter attack, no diagonal runs no running into space, his touch is useless. Unless you put the ball on his head under no pressure in front of the goal its pointless. . Its all well and good saying we have let him down with the service nonsense, the reality is when we needed our star striker to sep up and help us through the problems we have he has gone missing. All players go through spells of not scoring but he has sunk without trace.

Over 24 games, and the 18 are just really good chances, there will be other not so good on top of that figure.

We have had 257 shots this season so far. More than Leicester everton Watford west ham bournemouth Swansea burnley Brighton stoke and WBA. So service and creating chances hasn't been the problem. It's the finishing. We have only converted 10.9% of our chances, only WBA are worse.....

He doesn't anticipate anything apart from his payslip. We've been saying it for ages and Shearer and then Lampard I think finally get round to having a look and broadcast what we've noticed. Rarely do things land on a plate for you in this league. You do have to do a bit to get in the position/compete. He doesn't.

Like I should have said it myself. Scoring 2 in more than 20 games as the main striker, that is crap whatever anyone says. Service or no service. Add all the 110% chances missed and hopefully we've seen the last of the big Belgian...

As much as I don't like Benteke, I would still start with him. Hoping subbing him last week and thd threat of being subbed again would give him a kick up the a**e. Not totally convinced by Sorloth yet.

We've created loads of chances in many games, problem is our 30m striker can't be asked to anticipate or move into good positions in the box. Any team that has a striker who is only good with his head (Benteke's shooting ability is woeful) has already compromised part of their attacking game.

Top scorers 2016/17

H Kane Tottenham 29
R Lukaku Everton 25
A Sanchez Arsenal 24
S Aguero Man City 20
D Costa Chelsea 20
D Alli Tottenham 18
Z Ibrahimovic Man Utd 17
E Hazard Chelsea 16
J King Bournemouth 16
C Benteke C Palace 15
J Defoe Sunderland 15
F Llorente Swansea 15
Heung-Min Son Tottenham 14
P Coutinho Liverpool 13
S Mane Liverpool 13
J Vardy Leicester 13
O Giroud Arsenal 12
R Firmino Liverpool 11
T Deeney Watford 10
S Vokes Burnley 10

I don't get if this is supposed to be a joke post or just a silly one.

We're talking about GAMETIME.

H Kane Tottenham 2500 minutes (7 assists added to those goals too)
R Lukaku Everton 3200 minutes (6 assists too)
A Sanchez Arsenal 3200 minutes (11 assists too)
S Aguero Man City 2400 minutes
D Costa Chelsea 3100 minutes (8 assists too)
D Alli Tottenham 3000 minutes (9 assists too)
Z Ibrahimovic Man Utd 2400 minutes (5 assists)
E Hazard Chelsea 3000 minutes (5 assists)
J King Bournemouth 2700 minutes (2 assists)
C Benteke C Palace 3100 minutes (2 assists)
J Defoe Sunderland 3300 minutes
F Llorente Swansea 2400 minutes (1 assist)
Heung-Min Son Tottenham 2000 minutes (9 assists)
P Coutinho Liverpool 2200 minutes (7 assists)
S Mane Liverpool 2200 minutes (6 assists)
J Vardy Leicester 2800 minutes (6 assists)
O Giroud Arsenal 1200 minutes (4 assists)
R Firmino Liverpool 3000 minutes (10 assists)
S Vokes Burnley 2000 minutes

Screw top 6 strikers anyway, you still had last year:

Michail Antonio (a winger mostly) 2400 minutes (9 goals and 5 assists)
Andre Gray 2200 minutes (9 goals and 3 assists)
Slimani 1200 minutes (7 goals and 4 assists)
Crouch (34 yo) 1300 minutes (7 goals and 3 assists)
Andre Ayew 1400 minutes (6 goals and 3 assists)
Charlie Austin 900 minutes (6 goals+ a lot more this year)
Afobe 1300 minutes (6 goals and 3 assists)
Enner Valencia 700 minutes (3 goals and 2 assists)

Need I say more? If players from small teams like Josh King, Llorente, Andre Gray, Crouch, Charlie Austin, Valencia had a better season than Benteke, what's left to say?And nobody paid over 20 million for Josh King. Nor are they asking for him that much now.

Why are you just looking at GAMETIME.
-If a player isn’t good enough to play a lot of minutes for their team, they aren’t good enough
-if a player is regularly injured, that’s a massive problem
-if a player is suspended a lot , that’s a big character flaw

Benteke , for a team like Palace last season, was decent. This year he’s been a joke.
