I tend to trust the public service broadcasters above any who are privately owned. There is though some privately owned media whose thoughtful comment is always worth considering. Then there are some whose whole approach is to reinforced prejudice. There are no implications that other posters aren't capable of rational thought, and I have never suggested otherwise. I trust everyone is capable. Whether they always do think rationally is another matter. Doubt is caused when someone posts a link to an article from an unapologetically biased contributor who is being allowed to occupy column inches in a national newspaper.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Probably more than just their part, given the fact that holiday accommodation tends to have spare capacity in the winter. It would take a lot more than our share of migrants awaiting processing to create ghettos here.

Hello the Guardian in particular and the media in general. The BBC has been biased for decades These are my opinions therefore not facts
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Analysis of data from Census 2001 revealed that only two wards in England and Wales, both in Birmingham, had one dominant non-white ethnic group comprising more than two-thirds of the local population, but there were 20 wards where whites were a minority making up less than a third of the local population.[53][54] By 2001, two London boroughs—Newham and Brent—had "minority majority" populations, and most parts of the city tend to have a diverse population.[citation needed] Historically, some parts of London have long been noted for the prevalence of a particular ethnic or religious group (such as the Jewish communities of Golders Green and other parts of the London Borough of Barnet, and the West Indian community of Notting Hill), but in each case these populations have been part of a broader multicultural population. In the late 19th and early 20th century, the East End of London was also noted for its Jewish population, but now has a significant British Bangladeshi populace.[55] Definition: A ghetto, often called the ghetto, is a part of a city in which members of a minority group live, especially as a result of political, social, legal, environmental or economic pressure.

The BBC has been biased for decades These are my opinions therefore not facts If you can find me anyone in media that isn't intentionally or unintentionally biased, well, I'll spare you the trouble. Not a thing. They don't exist. Even if it was possible to be perfectly and provably impartial you'd still get the same 'biased' flak from all sides regardless. There's less and more bias, not unbiased and biased. Does the BBC even claim to be unbiased? Pretty sure they aim for impartiality and balance and don't claim to be completely impartial. Better than a lot of media outlets – at least they have some sort of checks and can be held to account, even if it doesn't always work as it should
