Not really. We’ve released players like sako and CYL and cabaye has left. Sako and cabaye at least were on huge wages so not overly surprised we can now afford to replace them

Firstly no-one has said that we have no money and it was an analysis of a set of our accounts over a year old that lead to a Brighton supporting f***wit declaring that we had no money and all the lemmings just followed him.

Secondly no-one knows how much we are paying for Meyer yet those supposedly in the know have quoted anything from £80,000 pw to £170,000 pw

Even if the latter figure is correct it's only what two departed players earned jointly so nothing added to the wage bill.

I've been a harsh critic of many of Parish's words and actions in the past but the one thing he does know how to do is his sums and if he feels that we can afford it then I'm quite happy to take him at his word.

I am sure that the new signings and wages are based on the fact that we are going to sell Wilf, I hope I am wrong but these signings are meant to keep us happy. and yes where has all the money suddenly come from ??

It's worth mentioning that the accounts which everyone is basing their theories on are over a year old.

Also if the club wanted to sell Zaha in a way that was least upsetting to us fans it would be at the start of the window not the end.

Also given there has been no bid which the club would expect, buying players first on the anticipation of an acceptable bid which is allegedly necessary for finances is pretty stupid. What if none arrives or we're forced to accept a cut price offer. Would be bloody awful business.

Speculation, speculation.
Should he go - probably.
Will he go - probably not right now - our signings have come in knowing he is there which helps to get them.
I hope and suspect that he will give us this season and be allowed to leave as long as someone meets a specific valuation next Summer.

Can't see that on his instagram but but there again I am technically incompetent!

I think I am alive to the possibility that the speculation maybe true, but still quite cynical. I am starting to see that we are moving forward so perhaps no need for Wilf to go anywhere.

Its pretty much wall to wall on all sporting back pages and web sites that he is going to Chelsea, with Willian going to Man U looking like the catalyst.
If he does just please don't take Drinkwater as a £30m part exchange as he isn't worth it. Willian is valued at £66m and Wilf should really be a little more due to his age. So, I am starting to accept that we may have seen the last of him in a palace shirt.
We may of course buy him back when he realises that he wont start every game for Chelsea, but I assume he knows that.

I think this ones quite simple, if Chelsea come in with an improved bid of around £65M then Zaha will go. At this point I believe it’s 50/50. I hope SP is looking for adequate replacements, we don’t want to be left without a replacement before kickoff.
