Yeah, the people who slate the club because we ‘wrote off Glenn Murray too soon’ are happy to write off Benteke. But it's the perceived lack of effort from Benteke that is making people write him off. You could hardly level that accusation at Murray.

To say hes not the player he once was is laughable though. He has plenty of years left to regain the confidence and firepower Tactics, Bentekes horrific season is due to tactics. Stone the crows.

You Don't become a s*** player overnight. Class is permenant Form is temporary. Benteke was never a striker to run around like Calvin Andrew on acid. he thrives off quality service and lots of it, and whilst his goal record is poor, given a full season with Townsend, Wilf, and RLC, supplying the service I'm fairly certain he gets 15 goals. He has been robbed of that quality service of late, and whilst the teams performances have been full of energy, and effort they have been very short of guile and finesse in the last third, something that Benteke thrives on. I will admit it is frustrating to see him plodding around but with little or no service whats he supposed to do other than what he is doing. Granted I do concede that he does project the attitude of a lazy prick at times, but with wilf, RLC, and Cabaye on the mend (i.e. the team that shredded Leicester away) he will add more to his goal tally.

It will be interesting to see how he performs in Belgium's friendly against Saudi Arabia on the 27th, assuming he is picked of course. If he continues to plod around as he does with us (this season) I think one can assume there is definitely something up with him and his head. If on the other hand he puts in an action packed performance maybe we could assume his problem is with the club... just a thought?

He's missed 18 good chances this season. Service can't be that bad..

He doesn't anticipate anything apart from his payslip. We've been saying it for ages and Shearer and then Lampard I think finally get round to having a look and broadcast what we've noticed. Rarely do things land on a plate for you in this league. You do have to do a bit to get in the position/compete. He doesn't.

No mate. Missed loads of headers , a few ‘one on ones’ and should have been arrested for impersonating a penalty taker against Bournemouth.

What about being a lazy c@nt. Is that permenant or temporary?

I think he will start on the bench on Saturday and rightly so. I hope Roy brings Loftus-Cheek back in and with Wilf and Townsend out wide, leaving Sorloth as the striker. That should give us enough to beat Huddersfield. We looked so much better when he was taken off against Chelsea, and anyone who says we weren’t, couldn’t possibly have been at the game...
