The EU holds all of the cards and next will be another payment after the initial €20 billion already agreed. Even if Brexit happens it will look like Remain but we pay through the nose for it. Only a moron would want a "no deal solution". Edited by pefwin (12 Oct 2017 8.15pm)

Oh dear, that would lead to the end of trade and capitalism. I don't understand why that would worry you. Originally posted by nickgusset

I saw your post, quoting 'peanuts' in the grand scheme. We're still heading in the right direction. That's all that matters.

Expect more installments to be paid over the next 2 years after the initial €20 billion was agreed 2 weeks ago. The EU is in the driving seat for the foreseeable. No 'hard' brexit will be a massive disappointment for many brexiteers. Caving in to EU demands is and will be the status quo. Edited by europalace (12 Oct 2017 8.27pm)

We're leaving the EU ponzi scheme. That is the ''direction''.

However, it will leave on the terms & conditions set by the EU which is exactly what we have seen, are seeing and will continue to see. A very strange suicidal culture in the UK but hey ho, their choice. The other 27 nations move on. Edited by europalace (12 Oct 2017 8.47pm)

No deal would be a disaster for many industries if we revert back to WTO rules and tariffs.

Edited by Penge Eagle (12 Oct 2017 8.47pm) No delight at all, simply posting facts as they are published in international media. If those facts aren't what you want to hear then that's your problem, no one else's but I do understand why you are so upset at seeing the UK heading for economic malaise when instead they could have remained in the EU and seen a much better economic future. here's a quote from BBC business news just 1 hour ago: "The pound also jumped against the euro following the reports in the German newspaper Handelsblatt that the EU could offer the UK a transitional Brexit deal" Edited by europalace (12 Oct 2017 8.53pm)
