Anyone who says that no subject/citizens in this country are disenfranchised are quite frankly completely out of touch with reality. Or as we really know....just looking for a rise because he knows he's nice and safe from the reactions he is deliberately provoking. Not the full ticket. Edited by Stirlingsays (04 Aug 2024 11.22pm)

I doubt, with his record, it’s very likely he would be accepted. Maybe in Clacton as a non playing member. Just so he could spend money at the bar.

These are just more excuses. No citizen in our country is disenfranchised. They all have exactly the same enfranchisement as you or me. They aren’t powerless. What you mean is they don’t like the result of that enfranchisement so have decided to protest. Which is fine, just so long as they do so peacefully. Which some aren’t. It’s them who get described as thick or drunk, often with good reason. If people feel they are being ignored then there are legitimate ways to get noticed. You cannot demand your opinions are going to win. That’s not the way it works in a democracy, but you can make sure they are heard, without resorting to rioting. Should you lose your control and riot then you have lost the right to be heard. They're all thick and drunk in the same way that all Cornish people are carrot crunching bumpkins. Or is that a generalisation too far.

The only way there is a risk of disenfranchisement is because of an election registration system failure to accept more forms of ID. Something which anyone can avoid with a little effort and is more likely to impact those whose English is poor, than those whose is good.

Not those who are misinformed and poorly influenced, but protest peacefully. Only those who use the events of last Monday as a smokescreen excuse for disgraceful behaviour deserve being thought thick. Intelligent people don’t act that way. Whether they are all drunk seems improbable, but many give the strong impression they are.

Socially disenfranchised. There's a difference. Then you should have said so. Disenfranchisement is a very specific term, with only one meaning. Social disenfranchisement is much more of a perception than anything real. It’s a belief, feeling or opinion which some will share but others reject. That people feel socially disenfranchised ought to spur them into finding peaceful, legal ways to get heard. Which doesn’t include rioting. Nothing justifies that.

"Disenfranchisement is a very specific term, with only one meaning." The narcissist is pedantic when it suits his narrative. Of course he is wrong again, this word is not simply having the right to vote removed. That is one of the meanings bit not th eonly one. When he is challenged i.e the meaning of judgement in a legal case he doesn't accept when he is wrong, no surprise there. Bring on the ignore button
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

The guy who claims others are misinformed is the same guy who has been pushing unproven theories on here for years. The latest being that Trump wasn't shot with a bullet (even though the doctor's report said it was a bullet and the FBI later admitted was the case). He talks about misinformation but he only needs to read his own posts.

And while we are on about misinformation, Starmer himself referred to the EDL, an organization that doesn't exist. Last night Muslims rioted in Birmingham and were shouting about the EDL and charging against the Police. Starmer, like Sunak before him, is an incompetent fool. Gangs of presumably Muslims target and beat up lone white men in Middlesbrough. Edited by Stirlingsays (05 Aug 2024 2.20am)
